Totally agree, I think it's time to stop thinking this kid is the answer on the top 6, because he is made of glass.

So was Sid for a while there, Letang was the same, even iron man Staal has gone through a rough three seasons with injuries. If he was that bad he would have torn something and I hope I didn't just jynx him.

Seriously? You just made everyone here very happy if that is a real offer. We have been debating it for a while what it would take to get him.

I think the Canes could likely get more, but his UFA status at the end of the season might scare some teams off. He's going to need a pretty big raise the way he's played the past few seasons.

Right, we went through this a few days ago, but Sid, and Letang, and Staal, and Malkin were all proven players and Sid, and Letang, and Malkin are all elite players... Beau Bennett is not. At least he has not proven to be.

His skill set is top six, but yes he needs to establish himself. The thing I don't mind is that he is cheap and easy to retain for cheap.

I've always only seen his point totals and not too much of his actual play. What kind of game does he play?

You've gotta know that these injuries have kept him from getting a significant raise of any kind. I could see him being signed for around 2 years/1.5 mil per.

Yeah, I have no issues with the team being 8th in Fenwick%-Close.

Regardless of what his skill is, when the team is in a win now phase, why are we going to keep waiting and waiting for this kid to get healthy, when he can't? why wouldn't we go out and try to acquire a durable winger that isn't made of glass? I would be perfectly fine shipping him somewhere to get rid of that headache. I'm also ok with not moving him, but we still need to find someone in for the top 6 that can stay healthy and contribute for more than 12 games before getting hurt again.

Craig Adams has a -11.34 relative Fenwick percentage which is the team's worst so far this season.

I have monstrous post Thanksgiving farts that mean more to me than this stat. Adams has been a thousand times better this year than he was last year, no hes not fast or an offensive juggernaut; but he fits perfectly on our 4th line. Also playing on the PK not being a skill I don't really understand at all, there is a reason we have a good PK and Adams and Scuds are 2 reasons that we have that.

Zach Sill

He does nothing and provides nothing. Completely void of puck skill and the perceived benefits of him being a physical player don't show up positively anywhere (eye test, stats, whatever). In the past two seasons nobody, and I mean nobody, is even close to as bad of a possession player as he has been on the Penguins. He has a Fenwick-For percentage of 34.9%(!). To put that into perspective Tanner Glass comes in at 43.2% in that same time frame and he is one of the worst forwards in the NHL. In 37 career games played he has yet to record a point. He is behind Marc-Andre Fleury in the scoring race this year.

Begrudgingly I fully agree 1000%, and this one hurts I was really excited for him to get his shot, and he shat all over himself. Also the MAF comment at the end was pretty damn funny.

Gotta put a claim in for Setoguchi, right? Not sure he would make it to the Pens, but it's zero risk, and a little possible reward.

I think Miller will end the year as a Vezina candidate. He had a really rough 4-5 game stretch but outside of that he has been really good.

The fact is the guy just wins. He did it in Buffalo for years.

What headache though? He isn't a top six player right now, he was bottom six. He is cheap and has a ton of upside. Shipping him out for the sake of trading him has no value what so ever.
People are frustrated with him, I understand that, but you don't give up on talent.

Teams win as a collective unit. Fleury has definitely done his part to win, but he certainly isn't as good as many want to beleive, nor is he as bad as some would like you to believe. Frankly, I think he is average.

And lose as a collective unit, it really makes me sad if you truly believe that he is an average tender.

Same goes for losses. Yet Fluery takes the majority of the blame for playoff woes.

I think both Miller and Fluery are really good goalies.

It's not like he's getting paid 4M a year and injuried this much. His contract is barely a blip on the Penguins roster. No reason to ship him at all.

Already said that if that was what the Canes wanted for Tlusty, he'd already be a Penguin. It may take more than that, but i think it would be worth it. Tlusty just seems like the perfect winger for Malkin.

I don't mean to make you sad but I need to see him come through for us in a more consistent way. I think consistency is what separates good from great, and I want him to be great, I really do.

the headache of waiting for him to be this top 6 player everyone raves about, that will never come to fruition because the dude can't stay healthy. I'm not saying I want to move him, but I definitely wouldn't be upset if they did. All I am saying is that I want them to go out and acquire a player that isn't so fragile, so the "wait for beau to get healthy" stuff stops.

From the oustide fans or media, we know it is a combo of him, coaching, and poor depth that crushed us the past few seasons.
