Why does errbody think Tlusty will be so cheap? Not arguing, just curious.

I don't think his value is as recognized as it should be.

Also a big reason is that he's a UFA after this year and is going to require a raise from the $2.95 Million he's getting this season.

He's scored at a 27 goals per season rate over the past 3 seasons. 47 points per year over the same time period.

That's $4-4.5 Million territory nowadays.

The Tlusty love here kind of reminds me of the Josef Vasicek fever the Islanders fans got into a little while back. A decent, serviceable player with a little bit of scoring touch.

Just don't expect him to be more than he is if/when you land him. The Isles made that mistake with Vasicek and, while he played his game just fine, they were disappointed that he wasn't more.

Honestly he's not my first choice, but with dupuis out and bennett being injured every 5 games, I guess tlusty wouldn't be too bad IF he could be had for cheap. He sounds like a player where you can throw him anywhere in the top 9 and he will play well

I want to see JR lock up Comeau long term as soon as possible. He is exactly what the Pens need in their bottom 6. Gritty, can hit, and has some skill, plus he can fill in in the top 6 when injuries happen. May be the best signing for the Pens this past offseason.

Way to be defensive if things don't go so well jokes aside he sounds like a good option as long as he's not a liability defensively or can't keep up with Sid's and Geno's speed.
