Cogliano didn't get his role figured out until we spent a year in Anaheim, AFTER actually taking all the things that he was told to do to heart and implemented them. He admitted that he didn't do what he was told to do when he was in Edmonton. It was hearing it from another hockey club say the same things that made it click. He also has the luxury of having a great roster ahead of him now.

Well if my Habs are in we definitely have Defence to move and I would love to see DD go, but I doubt the oilers want a small 2nd line C even if he's a 50+ pt guy

Or heres another idea we have Lander right? Bring him up to play 3rd line move perron arco picks ebs to fill that 2nd line center and bring in possibly a NHL 2/3 defense man that can play (frank)ing defense and not be a glorified 2nd rw.


I know its risky but itd at least make us a serviceable hockey team till the end of the season.

I have no problem with it, if it's consistent across the board with all players. As well as on the positive side with rewarding the players giving it their all with more ice time. We haven't seen it on either side of the spectrum, at all.

Here's something that was talked about 5 yrs ago and again this weekend.
Quinn would not be mandated.
Renny ignored or resisted being mandated.
Both were relieved for those reasons.

Not to be a conspiracy theorist but does management view the Fab 4 as precious heirlooms and not as hockey players?

Yea you're right, Cogliano is a great example of the benefits of hindsight, but i always liked how fast he was and Gags is slow as hell. Who do you think would win in a foot race, Nikitin or Gagner?
