ya, unfortunately for Oilers fans, the "change" that is coming is most likely the team doing the exact same thing. A couple trades involving bottom six role players, and most likely swapping Perron for another soft player, only making them softer and less experienced.

They have the pieces to really take that team in a new direction and start building.
Ebs for Yandle (some other minor pieces involved both ways)
Ryan O'Reilly for Yaks (and other pieces)
Reimer from the Leafs (for some pieces)

Pair O'Reilly with Hall, the first line becomes much better
Pair RNH with Perron, the second line becomes better
Draisaitl gets to evolve in sheltered minutes on the third line

Top pairing of Yandle and Wideman
Reimer/Scrivens combo in net

I really think those deals as I think it would set them as a team that would compete for one of the last playoff spots.

Add in the development of some of their D group, a few more pieces up front, and they would start to push some of the top teams

I know but he is also responsible for Polaks minuses, left him out to dry on two on ones. That is why that stat is so misleading.
