I am not sure what that proves..
but 3000-3500 shots is not enough to know how good a goalie is yet

- senstroll

Proves he was the best rookie that year..

I need to get out of here for a while...

Cheers all, see you in a few months..

Had he not just won ROTY ??
- bixll

I think that was 2 years prior. He had just come off of a poop year in B town when the Leafs grabbed him.

Who knows, I think he's looking for a site where people chat who watch the games and not just read the paper

let's be honest though. Despite the Raycroft/Rask trade being terrible for us, at least Raycroft was a proven starter in the league at one point in time. Toskala was a mediocre backup on a great team.

Edmonton so far has added Scrivens, a guy that played backup to Reimer, and Fasth, a guy that lost his backup job in Anaheim.

All in all, Edmonton management refuses to go out and sign a real goaltender. Halak and Miller were available and they missed the boat. Big time.

- ILoveLamp

well... said goalie has to want to sign there.

They apparently think everything is just going to click one day and then they will all the sudden be amazing. Hopefully this latest poopshow motivates them to make a move with one of their big names. Although they will probably Gillis it and wait for a stupid offer that never comes.
- markmark

Why would Edmonton do anything now?

Sit tight, continue to crap, and make your moves after the 2015 draft.

David Alter's "Key's to the Game" for tonight against the Pens:

High Temp

Win Face-offs

Win Special teams and 5-on-5

think it would work?

THIS. Seriously. I know they are sick of losing, but you've got 4 top picks, and MAYBE 1 franchise player in there.

Ride the low wave for another 5 months and take a swing at at generational talent for once.

Then trade 1 or 2 of the others for legit D help.

what are your thoughts Kadri and the Powerplay
- senstroll

I know you didn't ask me but I think much of what is being stated as fact is misleading. Fact - Kadri is currently 5th in ES offense with the Leafs. Fact - Kadri is one ES point behind JVR and Bozak. Fact - Kadri sees very limited ES time with Kessel who clearly has a significant influence on ES points of linemates. Fact - Kadri was 4th in ES points last year. Fact - Kadri was 2nd in PP points for the Leafs last year.

Fenwick (Shots+MissedShots) For and Against per 60 (when the score is close)
For Against
Bozak 41 48
Kadri 52 45
Holland 31 38

If you're in that camp that believes he should get a night off of the PP so be it - I disagree - but I'm okay with that decision if it's intended as a bit of wake up to get him to play better on the PP. However, I hate the bs being thrown around about his poor offensive production at even strength. It's just not true.

Maybe some job security issues? Not sure but maybe. MacT made some bold promises at the start of the year. Although he's in Edmonton so is anybody really listening?

Im suprised they havnt just sucked it up and asked us for Reimer.
- Lucas Neilson

they probably have, but did the usual low ball offer, like a late round pick.
Toronto would rather have Reimer as a backup than get a 4th round or lower pick

The one thing I'd like to see for all stats is take the number and divide it by TOI.

Would give a much better indicator of what a guy is doing, IMHO.

Calder trophy winner. Stole the net from a vet Manny Fernandez.
His rookie year he was 29-18-9 with a .926 and 2.05 GAA

He showed more than what we had
