I think Phaneuf has made him look better. When Franson has to anchor a pairing he seriously seems to drop the ball. See: last season and Fraser making him look good.

OT wins count... Of course they count. Shootout wins are meaningless, but better than the alternative.

Mostly just thought it funny to call 2-0 an ass-kicking... Apparently it's not totally insurmountable

Surprised you guys think Kadri is getting worse.....aside from a little puck luck, I think he's actually becoming a more complete hockey player. It's not his fault his coach is too stupid to realize that he has no offensive zone chemistry with Clarkson. This year's Kadri > then last year's Kadri.

I agree with this. I like his game this year better then last year. I see more effort, better defensive awareness and just better hockey sense in general. His offense is hurting a bit but he'll start to get some lucky bounces. I'm happy with Kadri and Holland being our 2-3 centers of the future.

change I'd make is move Dion to the 2nd unit.

Kessel and JVR are the go-to guys on the 1st unit, so Dion doesn't shoot. Our D shoot less than any team I've seen on the PP. Dion should be blasting everything like Weber and PK.

Franson is having a good year but no matter what in some people's eyes he's slow and useless. Kadri is finally no longer a defensive liability now, but isn't scoring like he has in the past. I can see why players say they don't read the papers or watch tv. No matter what they do they can't win. Last year: "Kadri sucks, he is so bad in his own end" This year: "Kadri sucks, he can't score"

Franson is having a good year, which is why I only view him as terrible. It's an upgrade over abysmal.
