Just listened to Elliot Friedman on the fan and he basically said what I was saying. They don't want to fire the coach because they want to players to hold themselves accountable and they fired too many coaches already. And he hasn't been given a good enough roster to work with. I think that's the general consensus among non oiler hockey fans.

after watching the first 20, id say the oilers probably have a better roster on paper than only about 3-5 teams max.

inevitably some of those will over achieve, while a few better teams will underachieve. that said; anywhere from 23rd-27th finish really shouldnt surprise anyone.
