Martin could have destroyed talbot in that game when he turtles on the ice. Pens had it coming to them in that game. If they could do it over again I'd hope they'd do it the same way

He has underwhelming numbers but I agree with what your hoping to get out of him. Guys like Vandevelde and Akeson aren't guys I'm overly thrilled to have. At least not after being spoiled with Dowd, Betts, Lapointe, Powe, Talbot, Laperriere and Hall just last season. I loved Kent manderville and Paul Ranheim way back when too. Bellemare has been good but probably not a long term solution.

With his play and his current cap hit if I'm moving him I'm putting a team over a barrel when I do it.

Right now, he's far too valuable to the Flyers. Bringing him back on RFA dollars means you might be able to swing moving one of the bigger D contracts and saving yourself some cash. Every little bit helps.

I don't think you'd get Nolan for Schultz. They're looking for a puck mover to replace Voynov, so they'd be interested in Del Zotto, not Schultz in my opinion.

I agree. Would have to be bowled over to make a deal involving Del Zotto. Many fans are coming from the perspective that this team isn't making the playoffs, so they should be selling off players. In my opinion, I don't think the Flyers have that viewpoint at this time of the season.
