Flyers next 6 games...

@ Detroit
vs. NYR
@ NYR
@ SJ
@ ANA
@LA

If Berube is still the coach come Dec 9, I'd be pretty surprised. That is a brutal stretch. Changes are a coming boys.

If they even go 3-3 I'll be very pleasantly surprised

The full circle that this board goes through is amazing. Rosehill is an enforcer, and can't play. Why is he on the team. Now bring him up!
- MJL

This team has also been criticized for " being too soft".
Rosehill is not a 12-15 min guy, but you know what.....Umberger has not shown that either. That cannot be argued. This team lacks energy, edge, and an all round effort. Guys should earn their minutes. Why not sit Umberger? Let him watch.

If they get 6 points out of that gauntlet, it would be better than anyone could hope for.

Do you really think effort is the #1 problem?

I don't think anyone really wants that. But with the way Umberger's been playing, it's not outlandish.

That's not a compliment to Rosehill, or saying that we necessarily want Rosehill up. It's more an issue of lesser of 2 evils.

Umberger should not be getting 12 ES minutes. Bellemare should have his ice time.
- 3flyerkids

I agree with that.

I hear you. Honestly, I'd just bring up Rosehill and waive RJ. Rosehill is no worse a player at this point and at least he can beat someone up once in a while

I'd have no problem with scratching Umberger for a game or two, to see if that would help him. If something like bringing up Rosehill to replace Umberger was made as a cap move, I could understand it. But that can't happen. Rosehill is not a better player then Umberger is. Even now.

Weird. On the "League Leaders" on NHL.com, they have Quick first and Anderson second. But if you go to the stats page, Anderson is (correctly) first by about 0.075%.

I'd stick with Umberger in that scenario.

He is not eligible, due to his age.

Can't win the Calder, either

1) That picture sickens me

2) Wouldn't this be considered an IIHF event? If so, how does the NHL control broadcast rights?

Read could be in line for demotion to the 3rd line with Raffl taking his spot.

It's a NHL event. The NHL is going to run it, handle all the legwork, etc.
