You obliviously dont read RW's very much. If you did, it would be clear that the true reason why the Pens fail in the playoffs is MAF.
Look, I never said 14 was a bad player, he just isnt want he use to be and he is showing age and slowing down. The games Ive seen this year, hes not winning easy battles, not going to the corners as hard as he use to. Tie that in with last year where he watched 87 get abused and you can draw your own conclusions. That's the problem with stats, just about anyone will get pts riding shotgun to 87 and 71, but there is no stat that shows character. - sammy87
Yes kunitz was the only player on the pens that watched staal beat up Crosby ... (Scapegoating)... Btw he did take a penalty defending Crosby in that series (for the record)
MAF is not the reason the pens lost to the rags ... Hank and Crosby/ Malkin not showing up for game six and seven are ...
I don't agree with RW (who I read all the time) pens lost last year bc
1) Crosby and Malkin did not step up
2) lack of overall depth in the bottom 6
3) bylsma (enough said...)
4) rags played well |

The sour grapes to not even mention MAF's record last night in the blog is just wow. Good representing pens nation on HB! |

I don't know what the reason is, but I'd agree the timing of this post by RW is odd considering it was a pretty nice win last night with a big milestone for MAF. Couldn't a discussion on the merits of Emerson Etem have waited for one of those stretches where they don't play for a few days? |

To be fair, Boston was pretty banged up. They have 4 or 5 guys out, Chara and Kreiji being 2 of them. So yeah 87, 71 and 58 played great, but it wasnt a decisive win over a worthy opponent. But yeah, a bit of a joke not mentioning MAF. After the countless blogs criticizing him, and now MAF leads in shutouts, playing pretty well, and sets a record, maybe someone is hiding from their own words.

Believe me, I know Boston was missing some guys, and this was nothing to beat one's chest over, but a win on the road against the B's after that putrid weekend is still worthy of some discussion on its own merits, no matter whether the winningest goalie in franchise history reached a nice career milestone IMHO. |

Or I wrote the blog yesterday afternoon knowing that today I would be teaching all day, then hockey practice, then off to scout our next opponent. Then I'll hopefully get 30 minutes with my kids when it is all said and done. But yes, make your generalized assumptions.
This is a hobby, not my career.
God forbid you click on the 45 other Marc Andre Fleury 300 wins articles that all say the same damn thing. |

When MAF had his 1st playoff rough start last year, the blog was posted within minutes of the lost about how bad he sucks. Maybe RW didn't have time to write a full blog and this was in a stock somewhere, but at least a sentance of congrats was in order. hide behind stats all you want to try to sound objective, but its more and more blatant there is a down right persoanl distaste of MAF |

god forbid you add the one sentence to congrats the man either. You just took the time to respond to me... could of used the same time to admit an oversight and say, Good on you MAF |

I don't laugh at others Chris. Just you. Maybe the odd Flyer troll. That's the difference between me and you. I don't bother taking shots at other Pens fans on this board that I disagree with.....except maybe the occasional troll. You on the other hand throw out your subtle digs when you disagree and then somehow act like you're the one being offended. I find it funny because it's pretty transparent.
So yes, I do laugh at you, but no it doesn't make me feel better. |

You are so full of it. You are among the most condecending people on this board when someone disagrees with you. I will certainly disgree with people, including the blogger, when I feel it is appropriate. I dont laugh at people derisively thinking I am somehow better than them. I admit when I'm wronmg and eat crow when I do. Keep telling yourself you dont take shots. apparently that also makes you feel better |

I'm by no means an expert, but I believe as soon as his Euro season is over.
and Kunitz is old. |

Your wasting your time ....his opinion is essentially that kunitz will be useless by seasons end ...I could quote it directly but that's the gist.. Despite no statistical evidence to back it up ... I'm fact the numbers show he s getting better with age ... Some people you just can't reason with lol |

He's on pace for around 70 points and 30 goals. Not too bad for a guy who is only getting paid 3.8 mil. I do admit his game looks like it has slowed down a bit, but for what they are paying him, I think he's doing quite well |

was the same with duper. thing is, both guys were/are top 6. their contracts were designed to be palatable towards the end as third liners. neither one is there yet. 3.8 for a top 6 great. 3.8 for a top 9, not terrible. I've disagreed with him on this but its not a completely invalid argument either. I just think he's abouit 1 year to early |

its interesting that his game looks slowed, and duper is out and crosby was slumping. chicken or egg? |
