On a pace for 33 g and 70 PTs ... That's dead weight??? Lololol I'm sure you ll continue to point that out every game he does not score!! And give Crosby all the credit when he does ... JOKE!!!

How was Kunitz in the playoffs last year? He looks slow, if you read my entire post I said he is still top 6 talent, just not an anchor. He is a complimentary player. I love Kunitz and what hes done, but FFS he's 35 same with Dupes something was bound to happen to bring one of them out of the lineup. Dont your love affair with Kunitz cloud the big picture.

It's frustrating. He needs to drink a little Jameson and put some hair on his chest!!
- dbell646

His problem is that he's way too passive along the walls. If he went into a board battle looking to lay the body instead of bracing himself for contact he would be injured less.

If I was Ed I'd seriously consider dealing Taylor Hall. That sounds like blaspheme, but he could bring back a top 6 center + a top 4 D man if they find the right partner. I think they're overestimating what Eberle will bring back and Yak's value is just nonexistent. They gotta do something, or they will waist their core's youth.
- Victoro311

If I was EDM I probably wouldn't give a sh!t. They could give the Disney on ice crew hockey sticks and that rink would still sell out. The abundance of NMC's makes it very difficult to trade much of value there.

How were any of the Pens forwards in the playoffs last year?

And don't let you fixation on his age cloud your judgement. Last year he was hurt, and so was his center, and he still hit career highs. After 20 games, the guy is on pace for 30 goals and a career high in points.

Bill Guerin was 38 when he won the Cup as a top line winger, and he didn't play a soft game, Marty St Louis has had very good playoffs the last two years in his mid-late 30's.

No, it's not. The Blues' first draft picks have been defensemen in two of the last three years. Doesn't matter to me what some fan on a blog thinks about them (which has been demonstrably wrong), the Blues have defensive prospects with pedigree in-house. They don't need more of them.
- hardnosed

Actually, it was bad logic man. Spin it as much as you want, without comparing quality of prospects, it's just demonstrably wrong. Because without actually comparing quality of prospects, you're logic would therefore imply that the Pens don't need F prospects because they have Wilson & Archibald when offered a chance at significantly more NHL-ready prospect.

The Blues have defensive prospects that are both project players according to the limited research I've done. Both of whom are multiple years away from even getting a sniff of an NHL shift, if ever. And you're saying that that an NHL-ready prospect at the same position is therefore not needed because of those at-present question mark players that are at-best, multiple years off.

That's not sound logic.

My favorite part of that post is that we're trading for Etem, Kesler and Jagr and Spaling is still on the 1st line.

I covered the blues pretty extensively when I wrote for RantSports a couple years ago. I'm telling you their defensive prospects are not very strong, especially when compared to the pens D prospects.

Kunitz still competes at a high level, but this season he is showing a decline. Kunitz could be a top 6 player until he retires probably, but he won't nearly be as effective.

Honestly we should just take him out back and shoot him. Crosby should do it IMO it's kind of his responsibility

This has been an ongoing experiment for about 20 years. I always surprise myself.
