We all hate each other, but what other the chances Pastrnak stays with the big club this year?

I'll be surprised if he gets more than his 9 game audition. Still lots to refine on his defensive game, and he could stand to put on a few pounds. |

less than 50% i think. he gets his 9, or less than 9 game, look and goes back to the A. but who knows he might play out of his mind. |

Depends on how many more injuries there are. If he shows he can compete, and a couple more guys go down long term, there might not be much choice in the matter. |

It's weird. He can stay in the AHL for the entire year and somehow not have it count as a year of his entry-level deal, but I'm not sure if that's messed up now that he's played an NHL game. It's something about the Swedish transfer rules. When he goes down, it's back to the AHL or back to his team in Sweden. The thought/rumor/whatever is that if he doesn't stick here, he'll go back to Sweden, but I honestly have no clue. I wouldn't bank on him sticking around, though. |

Pastrnak was skating with Bergy and Marchand at practice today......it would be sweet to see that line for a game!
Unfortunately, if past events and practice lines have any bearing on the future........Pastrnak will skate on the line for three shifts and will get benched the rest of the game. |

I think it plays to his strengths. Putting him with Bergeron and Marchand who are defensively responsible will mask some of his mistakes and allow him to play his game.
This isn't far off from pairing Seidenberg with a puck mover for example. If he avoids any gross mistakes he may get some good looks. |

Or, you know, Seguin playing in that same spot for 2 years. |

I fully agree with you.....maybe Bergy can keep him in line by making him follow his lead so he doesn't look like a slacker on the backend either. Lead by example and "teach" the kid a few tricks.
I just hope CJ stickers with it and let's them acclimate.....not pull the plug after a couple shifts and RUSH back to his safety net of what "he knows!"
They have been forced to change a little bit this year and there are a few "surprises" ....kinda like last year with Miller.....
This year it's been Joe Morrow......oddly enough the LAST D man they brought up from the farm of all the D we have had play this year..... |

3rd in the NHL in points. (1 point behind Crosby and Voracek)
1st in the NHL in goals.
He will be in the running for the Hart Trophy along with the Rocket....etc.
I understand why we are supposed to be okay with him gone......it just sucks that we will never have a Crosby, Seguin, Thorton, Perry, Getzlaf, etc.
type player with this coaching and management staff.
I love Bergy......he's my favorite player.....(wore his jersey to the Springfield Falcons vs. Providence game last Sat.......a game that I saw Pasternak get double shifted all game long......It's crazy to see how much they let that kid play against the falcons.....although they were getting spanked.)
BUT.....we just will not keep a "superstar"......."hall of farmer".....we had Bourque, Neely, Oates (got traded for opening his mouth about spending money)...then it stopped....we had Savard who "may" have had a chance at the Hall......
We traded away the next DRAFTED YOUNG Hall of Famers we had in Thorton, Kessel, and (now it looks like) Seguin.....
Love to win but kinda wish we had "that guy".....
Chara's great along with Bergy......but will either make the "Hall".....maybe Chara.... |

Thing is, look at those stats. And where does Dallas sit in the standings. Individual points aren't guiding that team to a stellar season. That's my point when I'm ok with the trade, he's not a guy to lead a team he is a guy that will run a bunch of points in a middle of the pack team.

Not sure what the rant was for, just pointing out that the Club has a history of putting skilled kids on that line.

Ok so where Dallas sits in the standings is because they have Tyler Seguin ? I don't get this type of argument. Dallas sucks because they have NO defense.
Are you saying if they put Erikkson back they are a playoff team ???

Again.....
We do not have a player on this team that would be an easy in "Hall of Famer".....
Will we even have a player get voted in with the All Star team.....?
The point is we have traded away ALOT of very very good player that WILL be Hall of Famers.
I love having a great team almost every year....BUT....
I just don't get why it's not possible to have a "super star" guy on this team at the same time? |

Great.......so Crosby....Toews....Stamkoes.....Tavares....Seguin.....Perry....Malkin....etc.
Those players will not be able to play for our bruins team because we are "so smart and far above everyone else" that we trade away our FUTURE HALL OF FAMERS for third liners and draft picks that may become "superstars" that we AGAIN trade away for more draft picks........
WFT!
How are we TOO smart to have elite scorers?
We weren't when Neely dominated.......when Oates and then Savard had 90+ points.....
I'm pissed that we have traded away THREE DRAFTED HALL OF FAMERS and we sit here unable to score goals and don't blame the COACH OR GM.......WTF! |

poop.......Bourque couldn't win here so we traded him.......
Neely had a shortened career but didn't win here.........
Oates was traded because he spoke out about the Jacobs lack of spending to get Bourque a Cup.......
Thornton.....we trade away for THREE third liners.......
Kessel....we trade for draft picks
Seguin......we trade away for third liners and prospects
Question.......how is our inability to have HALL OF FAME PLAYERS acceptable as a fan base....?
We are worse than Sox fans for Gods sake! |

I think it is time we just accept that Seguin is really (frank)ing good. Like he could very well be a top 5 player in the league for years. Will he develop into a guy who can lead a team through the playoffs? Time will tell.
That being said, I still totally understand why PC traded him. This was different than Thornton. That was a different management group and that was a dog poop trade. He's also different than Kessel, who made it pretty clear he didn't wanna be a bruin and PC got a great return on him.
Think about all the rumors you heard about Seguin, some, if not all of it had to be true. Partying on game nights in the playoffs!? Sleeping with teammates wives.. And he was a total no show in the playoffs. He was the B's most dangerous weapon the lockout season and he laid an egg in the finals. B's were built to win now and PC put together a team that very well could have. How was he to know Mtl would be their kryptonite?
Also NOBODY thought Eriksson would be a bust. When that trade happened, everyone viewed it as him being the safe bet 60+ pt two way winger. I'm still holding out hope he might regain his form though. That Lucic-Soderberg-Eriksson line looked pretty good the other night |

Good points.
And I do understand the rumors about Seguin.....the rumors of needing a guard or babysitter outside his door.....rumors of him sleeping with hortons wife........showing up in the same clothes and late.....
I understand that Kessel wanted to play a more open game with less responsibility on the D side.
Thorton traded had me semi boycott the team for a year....and it wasn't Chirelli....
But to see these guys we traded away.....
With where we draft and how good we are.......what are the odds of a team drafting players like that all FAMERS and not skipping a beat......
Nervous we go the way of Vancouver........ |

You give me a headache...
Not even 1 iota what I said.. Said Seguin isn't leading anyone to a Cup alone, genius. We didn't draft 3 HOFers. Pretty soon to call Seguin OR Kess a HOFer, and Joe hasn't won sh!t on a stacked SJ team... I'll take the success we've had over a HOFer that hasn't won a god damned thing, thanks.
