The 8th overall selection last June has had an impressive start to his Swedish pro season with 14 points in 13 games played for Modo. Friday night however Nylander was forced to leave the game after taking a teammate’s skate to his head off a draw. Nylander sustained a neck injury and will miss tonight’s game with Modo but expects to play Thursday.
good news, only takes like a week to straighten his hair up

Valiev was outstanding Friday night in Kootenay’s 5-1 victory over Lethbridge scoring once and assisting on 4 others and ending the night at plus 5. The native of Nizhenekamsk, Russia is now 13th in scoring amonst defencemen in the WHL with 18 points in 13 games having played just half the games of those of the leaders.

You sharpened your lawn darts too? Thought that was just us farm kids. - Woderwick
My two most vivid memories from childhood where I should have died:
- my brother and I filled up the bathroom sink, and the proceeded to make the water swirl using a small electric fan.
- I went over to my friend Craig's house (I'm guessing we were in about grade 3) and we took apart a shotgun shell in his dad's workroom. That involved putting it in a vice and using various tools to try to rip it open. |

If you don't have at least two stories like this from your childhood, you were probably too busy going to ballet classes all weekend.
Oh yeah, that glove on the floor? It's a guantlet.

I have many ... my brother was terrible.. taking apart bullets..making other explosives out of them
we would drive around on our 3-wheeler (yes 3 wheels not 4) and shoot at each other with pellet guns..we did pad up so it didnt hurt..but that didnt stop my friend from getting hit in the knuckle ..were probably 11-14 age

Speaking of McD's...Russia is set to close 200 restaurants as they are "morally impure" - AdamFrench
Waaaaaaaaay back when, George Cohen spoke at my university about his experiences setting up the first McDonalds in Russia.
His stories were as funny as they were sad.
I remember him talking about how they basically had to do everything from scratch - there wasn't a single thing from the existing Soviet restaurant supply chain that they could use. They had to grow their own potatoes (Russian ones weren't big enough to make french fries). They had to source their own beef. They had to build their own processing plants.
And the other thing he talked about was the lack of basic knowledge of customer service - they had no clue. Nobody would smile (a cultural thing) but nobody would work hard, either. They'd fill a couple of cups of drinks, plunk it on the counter, and then go walk off and talk to a co-worker for 10 minutes.
Good times. |

Being raised on a farm, I have far too many of these stories.
I had an evil, sadistic, older sister (4.5years older) and busy farm parents. Although I am damaged, I should probably be dead as well. |

Don't be embarrassed.
In this day and age of hyper electronic media, it is sometimes hard to separate those with trustworthy inside knowledge of the goings on of NHL hockey departments from those douchebag losers who are just looking for blog or website hits.
So for your reference, I've compiled an exhaustive list of those guys whose rumours you can trust:
List of Trustworthy NHL Trade Rumour Sources - Atomic Wedgie
I tried to think of a member for your list. I even considered adding GM's to the list ... then I remembered they are the most untrustworthy of all!
