Sure, Kessel may be the third most consistent scorer over the past three seasons, but unless you are chugging blue Kool-aid, you can plainly see that he is now terrible (2 points in last 5 games).

Instead of trading him for nothing and having to retain salary, why not just have him killed?

Tragic death would mean cap relief, not to mention an awesome 30-minute pre-game ceremony.

I see it more as a Lemieux on the point as the QB.

But why take Kessel off the half boards? He's pretty deadly there.

True story:
