For What? What exactly are you trading him for?
I find it funny that we are finally able to roll 4 lines, and the 4th line can win a game for us. Suddenly the Couch GM's want to trade high, on a guy who has been pretty solid, and able to move up and down the line up. - moondawg
As much as I hated on Hansen this past week before he became sidney crosby. I agree with this statement. |

I think it's more to it than that.
When you start pricing seats at $350 each you are going to attract people to the game who are not fans.
I have awesome seats for the Ana game and an old man with a hearing aid asked me and my buddy to keep it down because he was "watching the game". What the (frank) did he think we were doing? We were cheering, yelling at ref, and yelling at Kesler. You know, having fun at a live sporting event.
Anyway, I was polite and told the guy we weren't watching opera so turn around and mind your own (frank)ing business. |

Well said. If we were struggling, sure, but right now we are looking like a playoff team and it would be insanity to move out a contributing player just cause. |

Good for you. I run into that problem every game I go to. My Brother in-law has season tix behind the Nucks bench and everyone around him are old season ticket holders since the beginning of time. They give me all these cold stares everytime I open my mouth. I just want to tell them, nobody cares if you get excited and actually stand up and cheer. Let loose people.

That was you? You little brat you owe me for my hearing aid and pacemaker batteries. I would give you a finger but I just ran out of my arthritis pills. |

Unless he doesn't fit into the long term plans. Then you trade while the iron is hot. I get the feeling though that Willie loves a player like Hansen, and Jannik is responding accordingly.
Makes you wonder though what WD could do with a talented player who is currently struggling, like say, Myers? |

Bo on taking faceoffs against Toews: "Believe it or not, that is my idol. That’s the guy I want to model my game after." #Canucks
Can't believe Bo's limiting himself by only looking up to Toews, I still have hope that he turns out to be better than him. |

Now is the time to move Hansen, the return value will work as a stand-alone trade or package. Time to start filling some holes. - VanHockeyGuy
If we aren't fooled into thinking he is Crosby after one hat trick I don't think the rest of the league will be |

I know a lot of people here want Myers, but I think it is a terrible decision. It just sets the organization back even further for the future trading away the first rounders that we just spent time accumulating, and future picks.
Vancouver is still in the bottom half of the league in terms of prospects.
Myers is going to cost a F"n fortune.

Honestly, if you are a potential playoff team it really doesn't make sense to trade bottom six guys unless they are like a Steve Ott or Dave Boland where their reputation exceeds their actual ability. Even then it depends what is being offered, but generally speaking it won't be very enticing. I would say that at this stage I would prefer Jannik Hansen to a 2nd rounder, which IMO is his current value |

I like to use my polite voice when telling people to (frank) off. It really throws people off.
We weren't being obnoxious. Just your run of the mill fans. The lower bowl audience sucks. Plain and simple. |

I know the consensus is that the price will be high, but why? He broke into the league looking like the next Zdeno Chara, but has steadily regressed. I have no idea what it would actually cost, but I agree with you, no deal if it costs future picks or surefire prospects. So in other words, it ain't happening.
I see him going to Edmonton for a huge overpayment. |

I wasn't at the game live but from watching it on TV, I didn't think it was particularly quiet. At times I thought the crowd was quite loud booing Keith every time he touched the puck, chanting crawford's name for awhile after the 2nd goal and also heard a few loud go canucks go chants.
I know a few regulars were at the game last night, I wonder what they thought? - belcherbd
I was at the game last night in Vancouver and I also went to the Hawks games in Calgary and Edmonton last Thursday and Saturday. Calgary had the best atmosphere and loudest fans by a large margin. Edmonton was boring as usual , but of course a lot of it has to do with how bad their team was and has been for so long. Vancouver was somewhere in the middle. The one thing I really noticed was the different songs that were played between the whistles. Calgary was a lot more of a "hard rock style" and that got the fans going pretty good at times. |

Hahaha. I agree with you on the lower bowl tickets as well as fans in the suites. I moved to Toronto quite some time ago and I have been to numerous Leafs games (never on my own dime) and as a rule I only accepted tickets to suites. Mainly for the free booze. There are quite a few of us corporate types that go to the game for the many other reasons then for cheering the home team. As I can attest to the last game I went to at ACC was Leafs against Wings and in the box of 15 people there was only 1 guy that actually watched the game in its entirety and loves the leafs. Although I often go the Ottawa and Montreal to watch Nucks games when they are on the east swing and I cheer my heart out for my Canucks and always get the stare from folks around me. Perhaps they are the local versions of me in ACC. |

awesome game. the line of dorsett, horvat, and hansen was awesome. the team has alot of depth this year, and has sandpaper as well. our blueline is pretty sweet, and can move the puck and lay the body.
sweet win. |
