I was there tonight. What a facking game that was so much excitement for a 0-0 game. Isles just dominated them the whole night. Mason stole them a point

Okay so I need to ask this. We are now just over 25% of the season. I'm still waiting for the team to come back to earth. But only because our past 20 years will keep me skeptical. But if we continue this kind of play through the season (obviously they won't win every game, but as long as this high level of play is there), and we finish top 3 in the east, are we considered Stanley Cup contenders? I dont want to get ahead of myself, but I can't help to feel that way?

By the way, I bumped into evgeni Malkin the other day. He said he absolutely hates Pittsburgh, and the team he plays for. He told me he's going to be requesting a trade to the Isles, because he wants to play winger for JT, and he's a beach bum. I said "That's awesome! See you soon. Can't wait!"

Just thought I'd let u all know about it.

I'm sure Boychuk destroyed half the guys on our team at one point or another....all I'd think in that case is, "man, I'd like to have that guy on our team, so I don't take a beating." That said, I've always thought that one of these Russian stars would end up here, because of the Brooklyn thing, and I'd take him over Ovechkin any day of the week- he's a beast. He'd have to be a UFA though, because you wouldn't be able to trade for that sort of player- it would gut your organization.

It was a joke. I dont think anyone would take Ovie over malkin. Including capitals fans.

You guys keep saying rotate Bailey and Grabs or get rid of Bailey, but at this point in time, he is playing some of the best hockey of his career. He is not yet a problem. Right not it's Martin sits and Conacher waived.
- isles21

The only way you can move Grabner or Bailey is if you're confident enough in the players you have in Bridgeport, because you knows injuries are going to happen then what do we do?

This is why Lee will be sent down unfortunately unless there's a real good return on one of those two which I don't see happening.

Wouldn't be shocked if anyone is moved for picks to replenish what we have traded away. Snow somehow likes to recoup his picks.....

I've thought about that as well. Possible. I'd rather have a log jam than not though I have a hard time stomaching sending Lee down. Kid has been good IMO. I'm OK with it to keep the depth as long as it doesn't disrupt his development or stir some negativity.

The only tweaking this team needs (and I don't mean now) is a legit W for JT (which is hard to trade for) and another solid NHL 5/6 dman by trade deadline to solidify the backend before ..... (yes about to say) the playoffs.....

Can Snow trade Strait so this idiot Cap stops playing him.. He is just terrible. (and by the way.. Yes Donovan is better than Strait.)

It's so nice to look at the standings. I find myself doing it multiple times a day. 3rd in the conference and on the rise

Kuleimin back checking saved at least 2 goals last night. I am very happy with him on the wing b/c Ok has full on reverted to not bothering in the defensive zone at all.. If he even gets to the D-zone.

You make it sound like Capuano sat deHaan to play Strait. Two guys got sick and the 7th and 8th defensemen did what they are there to do...fill in.

I thought Donovan actually had a decent game but he's still having a hard time figuring out when to pinch. The difference is now the fwds are dedicated to defense so they covered for him when they should have yesterday. Strait played due to DeHaan and Hickey being out. I found it interesting how many feeds and drop passes were made for Strait for a one timer last night. Guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn

I understand that but how does he put him out there to start overtime in 4-on-4? The guy tripped over his own skates and almost caused a breakaway after we WON a faceoff. He took a horrific penalty, gave the puck up at least 5 times, constantly failed to get the puck out of the zone. WE have much better options in B-port for call ups (Czurczman, Mayfield, Pullock, R-hardt). Strait needs to go away

If isles maintain near the top the whole year, have to admit Snow & Crappy deserve an award, and I'm not trying to be a homer either... More Snow than Crappy bc of what he FINALLY did in off-season........

*remember when I said this team gets 2 legit NHL dman, team will make PO's, while others said 1* baring no major injuries of course.....
