We traded Chris Campoli for a 1st round pick- like I said, it would have to be a team that is more of a legend in it's GM's mind than it is on the ice, who is currently fairly high in the standings....and then we'd have to pray that they suck for the rest of the year. Realistically though, what I really hope is that if they do move Grabner, or Bailey or someone like that, it's as part of a package for a 1st line LW. - dcb1
You realize the guy who got your first away from you works for the organization you think is going to give you their first (in this deep draft), right? |

Listen I am the first to rip into this team but I cant. They are playing the best hockey I have seen in a real long time. Everyone is clicking right now and having a great time.
The Halak Monster is amazing right now and we have waited for a true number one for a long time. We have not had that since .......
You know we are doing awesome when Boomer and Carton were talking about them this morning, and even though Boomer was ripping the fan base for not showing up I know it is because the Islanders are winning and leading the division.
Season is far from over but I have to think we will at least make the playoffs this year. - kasperrko
You mean because we can't fill our building with people who got free tickets from their stockbroker, like the team he roots for? Patience, my friend, next year will come soon enough. Let the hockey fans enjoy this one. |

That's ok...Dallas is also still in the league....LOL....actually, like I said- that wouldn't be the deal to make anyway. We don't need 18 year old players anymore- you just make sure you guys finish last, and then you're guaranteed one of the two. |

You've got at most like four or five more months of having to worry about seeing that player in any capacity. I wouldn't sweat it too much- he's there as a 7/8 so those kids you mention can learn the pro game without getting smoked, losing confidence and costing us points (like it or not, he's crap, but he's still better than a 19 year old trying to play defense in the NHL, unless you're talking someone like Bobby Orr). When one of them is clearly ready to play at the NHL level, he'll go through waivers, and then you can watch him fall on his ass playing for Carolina, instead of us. - dcb1
He was on the ice for 75% of all goals scored when they finally Sat the friggin guy. He should not EVER play again on this team. he once again proved that over and over last night. WTF are u guys arguing with me on this point for.. He almost blew that game for the isles. So he was rewarded with Starting in OT and fell on his arse. |

There was plenty of people there last night and it was very loud. I pulled into the parking lot to some dude Puking 30 minutes before the game. While not exactly what you love to see it certainly is better than suits showing up halfway through the 1st period and leaving to catch train with 12 minutes left in 3rd. |

Not only that but 12,000 Islander fans are louder then a sold out MSG every single time. Give me 12,000 crazy die hards over 18,000 people sitting in a library every night |

...and what we're saying is that when you have a 23 man roster, with two extra defensemen, both of whom would have to clear waivers, you can't do anything but put them in the lineup, because waivers take 24 hours to clear, and you don't have a roster spot for anyone else until that happens. They couldn't do anything else, regardless of any other argument you want to make. We all agree he's crap, but most of the time, we have someone better than him in the lineup, and the occasional use of his sorry ass isn't going to ruin everything. Wouldn't you rather see us develop kids properly for as long as possible, for once? If Donovan proves he is with the program, then two defensemen would have to be injured for an extended period of time for him to take a regular shift, and he won't be here past this summer, anyway, regardless of his contract, because there won't be anywhere for him to be at the NHL level in this organization. The occasional Brian Strait sighting is something I simply wouldn't worry about. |

We all agree that he sucks. Anyone who has spent a significant portion of his/her life watching NHL hockey knows that....although you're pushing it with Aaron Ness. |

Gotta come out flying again tomorrow night and jump on the Caps early. Ovie is questionable but I expect him to play and Green is out. Just hope nobody else caught that bug going around |
