With a real first overall caliber player in Tavares I figured they would come along. |

well i think their biggest issue last year was goaltending no?
either way, the Vanek trade isn't looking like such a disaster anymore. could end up being Moulson (who they might have lost anyway) and a late first for a second and Collberg. although pretty sure Collberg is a bust. |

At one point they won't be able to afford the contracts to all these guys.
But likely somebody is on their way out this year for defensive help.
Not sure why Perron for a center is their priority.. |

anyone who called McD a bust when he was traded or call hindsight 20-20 on that is a (frank)ing idiot. McDonagh was an outstanding prospect at the time. Gainey was a (frank)ing bumhole who knew he was jumping ship. that's what happened. |

I think the fact that the police just had reports that Brown had robbed a convenient store minutes before the confrontation is what spooked the cop. It also probably scared the poop out of him likely knowing that Brown had a criminal record including many assaults. Then it probably almost made him piss his pants when Brown grabbed for his weapon. Then even shat himself when he got punched by Brown..
Nah, who am I kidding... - l3ig_l2ecl
Your making too much sense for ppl who blindly hate police. But your not wrong in assuming that there are many variable that go through someone's mind and in front of them that all happen in a matter of seconds. I would say that unless ppl were there and involved you can't hang either side for what has happened. It must be difficult for the court to hear as well considering many witnesses had chg'd their statements after the autopsy reports came out and showed them to be lying. How hard is it for reg ppl to come to a decision when half the information they were presented was proven to be lies or not factual. Then hear those same ppl spin a dif story for you. Are they going to take those ppl's word or the word of the witnesses who's story didn't chg and matches up with physical evidence? It's not easy in a court of law and even less so in Canada where reasonable doubt pretty much quashes half the charges. Im not even going to try and say what side is right, but I would find it hard to believe a guy would basically execute a person on the street in front of a bunch of ppl and there wouldn't be irrefutable evidence showing that's what happened. There's just a general disdain for authority that affects probably 30-40% of our society and that's basically the same thing as being racist (as in the fundamental flaw in it being the hating of a person due to color of skin/what job they hold even if you know nothing about said person personally). Black cop fatally shoots a white kid and the Internet didn't break so were those two ppl and their families exempt because there isn't a white al sharpton to run to that town and fire up the white community to revolt and protest the police for that happening?
Just saying, ppl have a lot of opinions based on about 10% of actual factual information as news companies have no obligation to present you with the truth, just news as they receive it. In my police service there have been many many lawsuits won by officers against the local paper for labeling them in the paper as doing one thing when that incident never occurred. Usually to the tune of $5000-10000 and the news never puts a retraction or apology in afterwards. Just sell papers/get clicks and deal with being sued by one guy later, if guy so chooses. Drop in the bucket to them, destroy innocent officers public image/integrity in eyes of those that pile on police for anything they hear. Just saying. |

hmm that's a tough one. long term not sure. a bit early to know how good Forsberg will be. but as for stupidity... i dunno. i think the Forsberg trade actually tops the McD trade. at least Montreal was filling a glaring hole at top-6 centre so you can see the logic behind acquiring the player they did. what the (frank) did the Caps need Erat for? |
