I left my door unlocked one night somebody took all my change and that is it. I had a GPS and iPod in the glove box. Didn't touch them.

You are lucky. you had either: a lazy thief, or he/she got spooked and took off. Either way, lucky you. Good on you to keep it out of eyesight though. Most ppl just leave it there for sh!tpumps to window shop during the night.

In 2002 my Honda Accord had a window broken, they took... my airbag.

No kidding, it was a $1000 value on black market at that time. With my big expertise in mechanics, I said to the police : "Weird how they just took my horn, lol dumbasses"

I think the canadian laws changes a year or two after

At the time I was picturing a lunatic with my Honda horn duct-taped on his bigwheel

That almost pisses ppl off more than having stuff stolen because they are saying "wtf?! All this bullpoop I have to deal with for nothing?!" Lol. Unless something like a laptop was left in the back. But again, person could have been scared off too.

Had mine broken about 4 years ago. Mrs. 3M had this habit of leaving the GPS in the car, mounted on the windshield. I told her all the time to at least put it in the centre console, out of sight. She didn't listen, of course.

One morning I'm getting ready for work and I look out the kitchen window and the passenger door is wide open and the window is missing. The only thing taken was that (frank)ing GPS.

What did you have in the car that was more valuable than the GPS?

Funniest thing that I can recall for a car break-in attempt was when I was about 19 I borrowed my girlfriend's mother's car for a couple of days. I parked it on the street by my apartment, and when I went to drive to work in the morning I noticed a huge boot print on the passenger window, like someone tried to kick the glass in. They weren't successful, but weren't very bright either. It was a 2-door car, and only the driver's door locked. If the moron had tried the handle, the door was unlocked.

Anyone here from southwestern Ontario? If so, are you getting tornado winds too? Geez my BBq was just tossed around my back deck like it was nothing. Save me Jeebus

Edit: aaaaaaaand I just check the weather network and see 2 wind warnings. Could get to 100km/hr. Well.... I think I have to go secure some things.
