Phaneuf was part of a 7 player deal. Same day was Giguere in a 3 player deal (I think) That's 10 if you count both moves.

Generally speaking though, the leafs especially, don't usually make massive deals. But that was one that was on the larger side.

I just don't see it happening.

I'd trade JVR though in a heartbeat for a winger or center who has more grit and takes less nights off. He's my least favorite top 6 forward on our team.

I agree, that's why I think O'reilly might be a little easier to get especially considering he's going to want a lengthy contract extension soon and I don't know if the Av's are willing to go there with him.
