If your the Leafs you have to seriously consider a Mitchell for Lupul trade... Mitchell was the guy the Leafs should have signed instead of Robidas, but here's the thing, the Leafs don't actually need Lupul, I like him but they don't... Where has he been so far this year?... Has it affected their PP?... Has it affected their PK?... Are they getting along just fine without him defensively?... I would argue that if this is out there it's a no-brainer, Mitchell is old, but he's good, he's a winner and he seems like the type of guy that won't hesitate to let a young guy like Gardner know he's playing like poop... 2 time SC winner, save on cap space and don't have to worry about line juggling half the year with Loops in and out... Plus it gives insurance if they lose a d at the end of the year...

He played decent in pre season. Mind you it was just pre season but he made his case to be the 7th D. We will have to wait and see how he plays.
