Blake Comeau skating on the first line with Crosby.
- David_Volek

Theyre hoping for some old team pay back. Hopefully we show why he isnt still with us.

KO looked good on that line and he def has some chemistry with nielsen. First line looked pretty good after the change too. I dont mind it for a game maybe it'll light a fire with okposo. At least clutter isnt on the second line

It's not about fear. The Penguins are a better team then the Isles and when you factor in the backup playing against them on the road it gets even tougher and that's why I said I would be happy if they came out with at least 1 point tonight. Just because I say that doesn't mean I don't think they can win either
- Vukota

Remember last season when Crosby came back from injury and his first game was against the Isles and just ripped a sick back-hander top-corner?

It was a dominant performance, but this year's Islanders are a different beast!

It should be a great game.

He could be part of a deal, but at the same time he is such a good penalty killer and they miss that. Nobody is expecting him to score 30 goals again but there is no problem with him getting 15-20 every season either
- Vukota

He doesnt have that role with us anymore with the depth we have. He will never get the ice time to get 30 goals.

You know what im saying. Theres logic involved with these decisions lately at least. Its like someone else is creating these line ups.

Hope so. Pens are dominant enough to take over any game against anyone though if the other team lets them. Hopefully we dont tonight. Have to get in their heads (especially fleury) and stay out of the box. Have to hold them up without taking penalties.

Pens coach is preparing them tonight like they're playing a playoff series. Capuano and his team have to match that.

He is only on the first line because of dupuis blood clot.

You can put a chimp on the first line with Crosby and Kunitz and it wouldn't matter.

I guess he doesnt want to break up the second line to put one of them on the first? Just think there would be a better option than comeau? How has he been playing for you guys?

4 goals and 5 assists in 16 games making 700K. He's also been playing with an edge. Really couldn't ask for much more.

I don't really have much faith in Grabner as a top 6 forward anymore. I think he'd make a very good bottom 6 guy with his speed and defensive ability, kinda like Darren Helm.

Hcmj likes to play pairs rather than full lines. Crosby, Kunitz,. Malkin, hornqvist. Sutter, Bennett. Then fill in around them.

I Agree I even said don't expect 30 goals anymore from him, but even in a bottom 6 role he can score 15 plus goals if he can regain just some of that scoring touch back. He still has a role on this team and that's the PK

He had 24 goals and 22 assists in 77 games for the Islanders in 2010/11 then he went brain dead, he has talent!

I know you agree i was just reitterating your point. Lol. Guy just needs a little ice time to work with imo. Looking fwd to having him back. Conacher should be a goner hes gone into PMB territory and if theres an odd man out I say martin rides the pine for a bit.

That's how they finished last game so I'm not surprised, even though I'm not big on splitting up KO/JT
- Vukota

The top line isn't clicking. Most of their point have come on the PP. I know JT played it down saying defense/ team first but, every other line is scoring playing the same system. I think the coach as been too patient...changes should have been made awhile ago. I like tonight's lines but, i guess we will see tonight.

Martin is the logical choice.

So Nielsen will probably sit.

Trying to mentally prepare myself for crosby whining and the refs actually paying attention to him.

Do you really need to prepare for such a mundane task? I mean, you KNOW it's going to happen, what kind of preparation do you really need to make.
