Here's my thought, and I'm just wondering what you guys think about it: if I'm Snow, what I'm doing right now is trying to get Boychuk's signature on a contract, ASAP, and here's why- if Boychuk is in for another 5 or 6 years, that makes Reinhart expendable. If I can package Reinhart, Grabner and one of the other prospects not named Pulock, Dal Colle or Ho-Sang for a top shelf left wing, then I can move Kulemin to the Nielsen line, and have Martin and Bailey alternate on line four (bye, bye Eric Boulton, but not a big deal to me). Then my extras are either Bailey or Martin, and Conacher, which covers all 3 forward positions, with Strait or Donovan as the extra D. This upgrades my top line without disrupting anything in the process. I'm just wondering if anyone who fits the description is available.

Snows not thinking trade right now. This team is humming. Theyre not going to make a trade that distrupts chemistry. I wouldn't be eager to trade a blue chip prospect like reinhart just because currently there is depth at that position.

Perron is a very good player, don't undervalue him but I wouldn't give up Reinhart for him either, maybe a Bailey/Grabner.... But I think Yakapov could be Snow's target if Reinhart is moved to Oil country......
- Ur Not Me

Perron was great before his concussion in STL, struggled after for a while but now I just think he's a victim of a bad team in Edm.
I'd be interested to see what they would really want for Yakapov

But who's the isles target there? Do they really give up hall or eberle? What is that going to cost? My guess is they dump a guy like Perron, which I don't think is what the isles are looking for.
You're right, the oilers are probably itching to make changes but I don't think they fit unless it is Hall. Other teams probably willing to trade are Buf, (no thanks) Car, (no thanks) probably Phi, not a match for the isles need. Maybe if Bos is really dangling Ericksson but they will look to cash in on him.
Other west coast teams, maybe Col which could be an interesting partner. Don't know much about O'Reilly other than he has done nothing this year offensively and they have had issues with him and a contract, maybe he's a target.

If the opportunity presented itself id take yakapov. Could be exactly what we are looking for.

Perron had very good numbers on a bad oil team last year, when he's healthy he has produced and is a type of player who stands in front of net in the offensive zone and has a good shot as well....

I see Reinhart and pulock replacing Hickey and visnovsky, not really willing to move either. I like the team as is right now. I'd rather sit Martin or Clutterbuck to make room for Grabner and keep that depth in case of injuries

Yes, at this current moment they are clicking. There will be a plateau and streaks all through out the season. You can't stop trying to make your team better though. You take from a strength and build your weakness. The dynasty team did it too going and getting Butch, calling on the rookie Morrow in March of 1980. Injuries will happen so yes, you don't want to dump everything you have built in depth but the isles have a solid D roster in bridgeport plus the 2 that watch every game in the NHL.

I'd try and get their 1st pick in the draft and offer Reinhart...

Agreed. Why fix something that ain't broke? If the option was there and the price wasnt too steep I wouldnt be dissappointed if we got yak though. Him on tavares's wing has lethal potential.

Reinhart and Pulock are blue chip D prospects. You dont move them unless you are getting back a no-question first line Wing for JT or a top pair d-man. You dont move guys like pulock or Reinhart in deals for depth players. I dont think EDM has a forward that they would trade for Reinhart that would fit the criteria.

Eberle, but to be honest, i wouldnt make a trade right now. The isles are coming together. I like Kulemin on the first with JT and KO

I agree. Need to be a special player back to move Reinhart or Pulock. I think the Isles should sit tight right now.

You guys don't need to make a blockbuster right now....if anything, a smaller move like a 2nd for Chris Stewart from Buffalo to just add to the depth and give Cappy more options would be a decent deadline move.

Just out of curiosity, what about Yakupov do you like? Why would you trade the isles best d prospect for a "work in progress". Yakupov is a typical Russian........and i dont even care if i get bashed for saying it. All the skill in the world, but not good away from the puck.

I wouldnt do anything to this team right now.........they are flying. Whens the last time the isles were tied for first in their division? Beating the pens back to back........who are these guys???

Im sure they would rather trade Yakupov over Eberle, but the Oilers are not in a position of strength. They have sucked long enough and are desperate to upgrade their blueline. You and I both know, you gotta give to get....

Ur nuts, bc Yakapov is on a horrible team but has loads of offensive talent that could mesh well w/JT..... Oh and I think he's only 20yrs old too...

edit: Dal Colle on JT's LW & Yakapov on his RW would be lethal for yrs....

The isles are in just fine right now.........just cause this Yakupov has hands, doesnt mean his the right fit for JT. You gotta play both ends of the ice.........Yakupov isnt elite away from the puck. I personally like Kulemin on the first line.
