so just so we're clear... you don't think that the team has brought any of this on themselves? players are blameless, everything is the media's fault?
come on. the players dug this rabbit hole and (frank)ed themselves. they deserve everything that comes their way. - DoubleDown
The players are getting non-stop blame. |

Please reference the chart.
Thank you.

Glen Healy actually got on the radio and said Kessel needs to be benched.
They're, what, 6-1-1 when he scores. he's 4th in league scoring. Let's bench the bum! - RogerRoeper
Reminds me of the same poop we'd hear with Sundin when he was here. Dumb. |

Could the Leafs possibly be that stupid that they didn't think that this whole thing wouldn't turn into a poopstorm?
I mean seriously, between avoiding post-game interviews and snubbing the crowd, they are just trying to make things even harder for themselves.
The team may have been pissed off at the guys throwing jerseys on the ice but there are literally thousands upon thousands of people in that building that didn't do that and it just looks so bad on them because those zealous fans are the only reason why they're there in the first place.
It's not so much about who is right and who is wrong but the Leafs players have to know better by now that poop like this is just going to make their already incredibly hard lives even more difficult. |

Yea the media protects Kessel - JVR_42_PK81
I'm pretty dumbfounded by that myself. I think Kessel has gotten more crap the last 5 years than any NHL player. |

They had two big losses yes. They were 6-1-1 before that.
If you think they deserve to be ridiculed for every single thing they do. And I mean everything. Your crazy |

Your tied for third in league scoring but you need to do much much more. While you think about what you need to do to be better we will make up countless trade scenarios for you |

And that one guy is suppose to be the Leafs best player. If he thinks snubbing reporters is going to make his life easier, he's crazy. The players can't control the media but what they can control is giving the media as little as possible to make their lives even harder than it already is. |

Kessel can do whatever he wants. His play on the ice is what matters. |

He won't be saying that the next time he goes 10 games without a goal and the Leafs are losing games left and right. |

Raps are looking like a serious contender, - RogerRoeper
I don't think they'll come out of the east and almost certainly could not win a series against the top teams in the west.
But, they do seem to be a legitimate contender.
... Who would have predicted the past (almost) 12 months for this franchise after Gay was traded. Remember, after that trade there was talk of them dumping Lowry and tanking for Wiggins. It was the Knicks who nix'd the trade because they were afraid Ujiri was going to burn them again.
A funny thing happened on the way to the tank.
I wonder how the Leafs would respond with Phaneuf being gone. |
