Look at the guys he's played with though and where they are now. I'm not a big phaneuf fan but he's had utter crap for partners and made them look decent. Franson is looking decent this year on top pair but last year could barely do anything on the bottom pair.

I didn't hear any fans booing the team for not saluting at the end of the game....and I didn't even notice at home watching. Just the media being douchie.

The sooner the Toronto media realizes they are not omnipotent beings deserved of velvet glove treatment the better. I swear to God these guys feel the Leafs players should kiss their rings before answering their assinine questions. 98% of fans would not have even noticed their was no "salute" last night had it not been brought up - like there's not enough actual hockey-related stories to cover.

One could, very easily, remove the word "media" and replace it with "players" and have an equally valid argument.

It's a bad mix of players and none have any leadership skills..... this is fixed in they manage to find a #1 or #2 C who can lead and a D as well.
