the only way to shut up the media in places like TO is winning. that's it.
think back to the lockout season. how much poop did the media stir up? not much. look at Montreal. media has been pretty tame last 2-3 years because the team has won pretty consistently.

oh I know. I cried myself to sleep when Jeremy Roenick scored in OT, eliminated the Leafs from the playoffs. I miss those days too. I just wish we rebuilt the right way. I wish we drafted better.
