I agree - I don't think fans really cared too much about the snub until the media started reporting on it and sensationalizing it. You can tell the media is hoping for the Leafs to lose because negativity sells and makes news.

Two major media players - Bell and Rogers run the Leafs too. Rival media outlets probably enjoy ripping on the Leafs.

The whole culture needs a shakeup.

From the fans, to the media, to the coach, to the on-ice product

Fans: Suits need to go. Get rid of season ticket holders and gradually reduce the count by not renewing them. Make it so everyone has a chance at those tickets and let fans go wild for them. People who are there because they really really WANT tobe there will be there, instead of people who are there because their company has tickets and they want to try and be suitors for another company's business.

Media: Start revoking access passes for vultures like Simmons. These people are the high school drama queen's of the media.

Coach: Get a coach that can operate a toaster. We need a way to get rid of those waffles and what better way than eating them?

On-ice product: get a real leader. even though it may NOT have been a snub at the fans (it probably was), a leader would've picked that up and that its only a few fans throwing their jerseys on the ice, not ALL of them. There are so many loyal and loving fans. Also, a leader would've pickedup that their poopty (frank)ing play warranted anger and disappointment from fans that shelled out hundreds of dollars to attend the game
