you're over-simplfying things here.

1) it wasn't an armed/violent robbery. it was a convenience store theft.
2) no one knows if the officer even knew about the theft.
3) there's a pretty big question as to whether or not these kids would have been shot if they were white.

i'm not arguing one way or the other and this Brown (name, not colour) kid brought this on himself, but this is hardly a cut and dry case of a violent black male being justifiably gunned down by the police.

that is not what i addressed

i was correcting a false statement

i own a store and have been assaulted by thieves on more than one occasion, none of them were shot but i wish they had been

i have no wish to get into the race discussion, but i absolutely do want to correct the false statement that he was not involved in a violent crime

agreed and the officer was waiting for backup to arrest him as a suspect in that robbery per grand jury testimony. On CNN site now.
