was that a hook? I really think he just lifted Emelin's stick (code) and stole the puck.

Allen, Weaver, Gonchar are snails
Gilbert, Markov and Emelin are ordinary skaters.
PK is fast at least.

With 6 out of 7 back there who are less than average skaters they are gonna look bad with teams that are quick on the forecheck

- Fredobface

I don't see Allen as that slow. Weaver either. And Gonchar is not there for speed. The issue is that collectively, they are not fleet of foot and in last night's game, that was quite evident.

Great watching by #67. Not like he was gonna catch St. Louis, but...

I'm going to give Allen the benefit of the doubt since he just arrived and played back to back games with teammates he doesn't know

One thing that should be adressed is playing at 7 defencemen. I expect they will drop Beaulieu in the minors today.

Emelin had more than enough time and room to make a play off the near boards there. that should never have even been a dangerous play.

Yes, they looked lethargic. Not sure if it was the fatigue, or whatever, but the Rangers schooled them. Plain and simple.

Blames the refs, St-Louis got away with a hook on Emelin just before his goal

i don't for a minute think that MB is done with the defence. there is no chance he thinks it's good enough right now.
