Gonna get rough in the 3rd period. and maybe even later in the 2nd. 2nd half of a back-to-back with 5 defensemen.

I'll be happy if they can even squeak a single point out of this.

You were saying?

I hope if the Canucks are going to lose tonight they will at least have the decency to give Freddy Andersen a shutout and take lots of low-percentage shots

Maroon's on my bench so they can all go (frank) themselves.

I've got Palmeri in, hoping the Kesler line has a big night!

I'm amazed that they didn't stop the game to inform us.

Highly doubtful. Getting smoked by BUF and NSH back to back will create a wound that takes more than one win to heal.

Any turd playing with Perry and Getzlaf at both 5v5 and the PP is a turd worth having.

No doubt. Nice win for them though, TB is a solid squad.

Indeed. The issue now amongst the homeratti is that they'll expect the same effort every night.

This would be an ideal game for Horvat to show a little potential. Maybe it's just me, but he hasn't shown the ability to turn it up a notch.
- Gullzy

It might be just me but its his 7th game of his career and I'm willing to trust his CHL history of being able to turn it up a notch against his peers. Patience.....

Holy what?! David Clarkson has more goals than either Daniel or Henrik.

EDIT: Dale Weiss has as many goals (4) as Daniel. somewhere Vantel is nodding in "I told you so" approval.

Beauty goal but Sbisa really looked weak and slow on that play. If hamhuis is out long term I predict seeing Sbisa being beaten often. I want to get behind him but he just looks brutal at times.

I personally am not writing him off by any means but I also don't believe he'll be our future, undisputed 1C. I do hope with everything that I'm wrong.

I don't think anyone is projecting him to be a 1C. His upside is a two-way 2LC. And many scouts projected him to be a safe pick, basically saying that at worst he'll be a solid 3LC. But for a top 10 pick you'd hope he reaches the upside.

I don't think there are many people who honestly believe he will ever be a 1C

I hope your wrong as well but I think Tanev will be a #1 D before Horvat is a #1C. I just think his first season as a pro has been really good, I actually think he looks more ready than Vey at this point regardless of the point difference.

That might be the consensus now but when you're drafting a C at #9 you're hoping for more than a steady 2C, which is what Bonino (6th Round #173 overall) is shaping up to be. I can't speak for the Canuck brass but I would guess their valuation was higher when they traded up to get him at the draft.
