Our power play sucks . I can't stand it . Skate the (frank)ing puck deep , I've had enough of this stopping at the blue line or top of circle bulkpoop then the in it over it's on (frank)ing repeat happens every time and when we get the puck deep good things happen skate it deep don't dump and chase holy (frank) man . Unreal . For a te containing such impressive offensive talent out power play is absoloute (frank)ing poop

But is he worth $7,000,000?

Anyone making more than Karlsson isn't worth it... unless they know how to play defense

Compared to Carle's 5.5?

I think I'd actually take Phaneuf!

Or we can agree that neither are worth what they are being paid.

Dion is worth closer to his cap hit than Carle is to his, IMO.

That's where they miss Purcell.

So Crosby, Stamkos, Malkin etc are not worth it?
Do you think Karlsson is the best player in the league?

Enjoy the two points, I think the player stats for the Lightning will be increased by a good amount.

I hope you don't get paid to think

Phaneuf is not as bad as most make him out to be. Overpaid yes. 10 points in 20 games, and a +7 (Leads the team) while playing 24 mins a night against the Crosbys, Stamkos, and Ovechkins of the league....but apparently he is useless

But even when Teddy was here we went through long periods of this exact problem. It all comes down to being aggressive and skating hard. They have a habit of getting lazy on the PP and if the opposition is playing aggressive PK we end up playing a 200' game of ring around the rink

I'm just referring to zone entries. He was probably their best at it last year. It really helped on the PP.

Understood. But even with Teddy being the puck carrier for zone entry we oftentimes had the same problem. If the other team is playing aggressive and holding at the blue line, we aren't skating hard enough on the dump-in to retrieve the puck. Sure Teddy carried the puck sometimes, but if the other team wasn't giving up the blue line this team still had the same problem. We have to adjust our playing style if the opposition stands up at the blue line and no player whether we are talking Teddy, Stammer or anyone else can single-handedly carry the puck through 4 players holding the line. This is an ongoing issue stemming from tenacity and puck-retrieval, the opposition are the ones not "giving" us a free zone entry.

Having Hedman back will help as well.
