As a Leafs fan, I'm now expecting the Leafs to come out and pummel the Bolts 6-2.

Why?

Because it will win Carlyle a little more time, prolonging our agony.

Yeah, I'm a Leafs fan.

- Atomic Wedgie

I agree. Theyre going to come out strong and if they dont someones getting fired.

do you think that's accurate?
- Fountain-San

I do.

A big part of it is you get a bunch of media guys who realize they can make a good living being contrarians - Cox and Simmons being the biggest examples.

Everyone loves the Leafs? OK, I'll criticize them every change I get.

And hell, you can't argue that it doesn't work. Those two guys are the biggest print media guys in the market.

It's funny - Cox seems to have a better feel for it - he knows when to back off and dish out a few compliments. Not so with Simmons.

It's too bad, because a guy like Steven Brunt - one of the best sports writers in Canada, imho - just quietly goes about his business. And he's constantly drowned out by the noise of the negative nancys.

Their problem, IMO...and what do I know, has been and remains incompetent management. No successful team has been based on strength on the wing, I mean WTF man, get a God Damned #1 center.

And here's a thought, get some players to insulate Dion Phaneuf, the guy has absolutely no support on that backend. He looks bad because he's continually trying to do too much, he's all alone back there. Is he a 7 million dollar guy, no, but he's not as bad as he looks due to the players around him.

Leaf fans were all laughing when they got Lupul and Gardiner for Beauchmin, who's a rock solid stay at home dman; Lupul can't stay healthy and he's helped the Leafs to win nothing, Gardiner should be a forward as he's got zero value as a defenseman.

The whole organization is disfunctional, and trust me, we know disfunctional here on the LeftCoast.

- LeftCoaster

and how do propose the Leafs do that?

Trade for whom and the $$ you are left with nothing to play with the #1C. ie Sundin era.

Much like your team tonight, you don't really have to put forth much effort in this blog today.

You know you've already got your two points.

Actually I expect a decent game. After the thumping you guys took the other night I think there will be a lot of emotion on the ice. I still expect (hope for) a victory for the Bolts but I don't think it will be a cake walk.

I don't know, haven't put much thought into it. You can't win the way your team is constructed, you just can't!! Kessel is one of the best offensive players the league, they may just have to trade him or JVR to acquire a youngish #1 center and construct a team that's built through the middle of the ice.

Leafs can put together a good package of players to change the team for the better.

Nonis will never do it though, he's completely incompetent IMO.

It'll either be one extreme or the other. Pressure can have a negative effect and there's going to be a lot of pressure on the Leafs.

I agree. I do expect the Lightning to show their depth in this game though. Mostly 3rd and 4th line scoring.

Hopefully. Got Bishop, Stamkos, Valteri and TJ in fantasy.

And Bozak.

That will never happen , Stamkos wants to win not have his career ruined by an organisation that cant do anything right and is the laughing stock of the NHL
