So I guess the game in Buffalo is still going on as scheduled? - mdw7413
I don't know how they are going to play that game. They are talking about cancelling the football game on Sunday. My bet would be that they move the game.

Nice game last night; consistency is not this team's strong suit so far. Let's see how they do Friday. - MidnightMarauder
Are they actually going to play tomorrow. Seems a kinda stupid, if you ask me. They will have 7 feet of snow up there, the last thing the town should be worrying about is arranging a hockey game |

My thinking on this is since the Bills play outdoors, don't know how they get all the snow out of the stadium in time. Luckily the Sabres arena is indoors |

You should see Kreider run all that snow...he is creating quite the open space for the Rangers to be able to park their plane |

People still need to be able to get there, however, and having fans, arena personnel, players, etc. having to get to an arena in that middle of that stuff to play a hockey game that you can re-schedule just seems like a bad idea.
On the snow in the Stadium thing, just bring in a bunch of prisoners to do it.

Yea I didn't mean they should play, just that was my thinking why the Bills game is already in question and nothing has been mentioned for the Sabres game.
I will tell you one thing, all the Rangers beat writers are praying for it to be canceled lol |

Yeah, I was thinking that too. I know Buffalo probably has a 1st rate snow removal crew, but what they got and are continuing to get is insane. |

If the refs disallowed a goal for a player kicking the puck in, there would be riots in the seats |

Jeez, they are supposed to get another 3 feet of snow in Buffalo, in addition the 6-7 feet they already have. Tomorrow night's game ain't happening (which basically means that it will, just because I said that). |

It's the NHL, of course it's happening. Buffalo will probably still draw better than Florida. |

Then it's supposed to rain on Sunday and be north of 50. That area is worried about flooding. |

Yeah, I heard that. Hopefully it isn't as bad as expected for those people up there. |

The snow totals vary widely, if you're North of route 90 (and most of the city and the arena itself are) you have about 20", which is no big deal there. But if you are in the southern and southeastern suburbs, you're in deep. Typically if the teams and refs can get in, they have the game. (I had tix to a game in North Jersey a couple winters ago and the trains weren't running and roads were closed, but the teams and refs were there, along with 3000 fans, but not me.)

They do. I ran into some fans of the Sheffield team when I was in line at the Flyers Carnival one year. |

Hell, Theo Fleury played for the Belfast Giants in the UK league when he was trying to sober up and make an NHL comeback. I don't know why he would go to Northern Ireland to sober up, but whatever. I guess since they're all about the drinking, it would've kept him away from the heavier stuff... |
