My thinking on this is since the Bills play outdoors, don't know how they get all the snow out of the stadium in time. Luckily the Sabres arena is indoors

People still need to be able to get there, however, and having fans, arena personnel, players, etc. having to get to an arena in that middle of that stuff to play a hockey game that you can re-schedule just seems like a bad idea.

Works for me, better they get some rest and get ready for Montreal Sunday.

Yeah, I heard that. Hopefully it isn't as bad as expected for those people up there.

The snow totals vary widely, if you're North of route 90 (and most of the city and the arena itself are) you have about 20", which is no big deal there. But if you are in the southern and southeastern suburbs, you're in deep. Typically if the teams and refs can get in, they have the game. (I had tix to a game in North Jersey a couple winters ago and the trains weren't running and roads were closed, but the teams and refs were there, along with 3000 fans, but not me.)

Hell, Theo Fleury played for the Belfast Giants in the UK league when he was trying to sober up and make an NHL comeback. I don't know why he would go to Northern Ireland to sober up, but whatever. I guess since they're all about the drinking, it would've kept him away from the heavier stuff...
