4:37 in the first for Laughton, he'll pass last nights TOI total by the middle of the 2nd.

I think it's safe to say to we were the better team. This period alone should keep Laughton with the Flyers. Heck, he made Umberger and Lecavalier look much better.

Flyers look good for the first time in 13 days.

Amazing what happens when they show up to play. Aggressive and physical. Hungry for the puck. Shots attempted were 26 to 13 in favor of the Flyers. MacDonald and Schenn already improving the PK.

I actually felt Luke was missed. Dreadful PK since he's been out.

Laughton had a strong first period. Umberger played well that period. Aggressive on the puck. Made a nice breakup of a play and a clear on the PK. Went to the net a couple of times. Mix it up on the boards. Not happy with Lecavalier that period. He's standing still and not moving his feet.

Lecavalier looks softer and softer on the puck every game.

Good. How many games have the Flyers given up the first goal, and wind up down after the first period? If they continue to play like they did in that first period. They have a real good chance of winning this game.

Yeah, the Flyers were looking a bit ragged, but after the first kill, they started executing a lot better and feed off it and attacked more.

I think it's because the Flyers simply outplayed them and outskated them.

I just want a win, I don't care how it happens. I'm not looking for moral victories within the period/game.

Flyers looked strong from the opening puck drop in my opinion.

It's a process. Playing how they did that period is how you win games.

That is where I am tonight -- they need to find a way to win this game

That's the bottom line. Ugly, pretty or otherwise. They need the points and they need the confidence boost.

I gotta tell you guys. If Lindros hadn't sat out the entire season between being a Flyer and become a Ranger, I would have followed him wherever Lindros would have ended up.

Do any of you remember LeClair having a back injury for most of that season and Gagne-Primeau-Recchi carrying the load as a line that season?
