Bellemare, Laughton come to mind
- Jsaquella

Laughton's has done what so far? Bellemare has been fun to watch but not a stand out. At least not yet. Bellemare has moved up....

I think it's naive to think that there's no input or influence whatsoever from Hexy to Berube regarding the team they're icing. I know many think there's a chinese wall of sorts there, between coach and GM, but I'd bet that wall between Hexy and Berube isn't much more than a brick high. It's human nature...Hexy is trying to put his mark on the team and "manage" it, and seems to be hands on type of guy... then you have Berube, who is beholden to him for his job security. There's bound to be some sort of influence there.
- exlund

Input certainly. Of course GM's and coaches talk about things and bounce thoughts off of each other. But I think it's naive to think that Berube is not going to coach the team how he sees fit, and is going to be a puppet of the GM. I also think that Hextall isn't that kind of GM. He probably couldn't care less of what people think about him, and is more concerned about how the team does, then how a bad deal will look on his resume as a GM. Both want to win, and will do what they think is best to accomplish that.

Kerr had 650 pts in 601 games as a Flyer. Just a rock in front of the net with a great set of hands

The trouble is, Lecavalier and Umberger haven't just been bad, they've been detrimental, especially Umberger. There should be no consideration given to them being veterans right now, because they have been so bad. They're supposed to be veteran leaders, and they're dragging the team down.

I don't care what Laughton or Bellemare have done in the past, right now, I think they can be more effective than Lecavalier & Umberger.

I expect a crazy game from Rinaldo ... Lindros was his favorite player.

hopefully it's crazy good, not crazy bad.

Well that's fine you feel this way but Matt Read has also need to pick up but let's ignore that.

He has. No argument. Umberger and Vinny have been worse, IMO. I'd have no issue if they demoted Read as well.

Improvement. Umberger got to the red line before dumping a puck in

I think they would have if they had started the game a couple of minutes after Lindros and Leclair left the ice ... not 35 minutes later.

Again, Laughton and Bellemare. Hell, Even Akeson as poorly as he's played.
