Ron Hextall can be heard screaming from changing room. "That's f---ing embarrassing! Jesus f---ing Christ!" and slammed door.

the rise in ticket prices pushed out a lot of the working class folk that used to go to more games. You can thank James Dolan for that.

Not just Dolan it's everywhere. My wife and I certainly earn a decent enough living and tickets to the Stars games are expensive enough that the only game we will attend all season is when the Rangers come to town.

Much needed win tonight. Despite all the recent doom nd gloom Talbot stepped up nd take a look, we're 3rd in the metro. Granted games in hand, but (frank)ing poop we're not the Sabres(sorry Buffalo).

Also wanted to make a point about division rivals between fans..we fight more than the players do, but can we at least make it worthwhile banter?

Referring to the Devils as the Debbie's makes you sound like as much of a douche as referring to The Rock as the pebble. Same as calling the Islanders the Piles or fish sticks, fisherman jersey originated from influence of Montauk nd Captree..enough Ranger fans live on LI nd can agree on the sentiment, don't enjoy fishing..move.

The age old criticism of the Devils nd Islanders is having an empty arena. Wanna take the family to Newark or Uniondale on a vacation other than the Hooters near the Coliseum?

I've met enough intelligent people on this site to talk hockey with..inviting the trolls in or feeding them with fodder just deters the conversation between Ranger fans

great effort by Talbot last night. That's the guy we knew from last year finally appearing again.

The only thing annoying about last night is that it should have been 7-0 or so, they have too many of these stretches in games where they dominate and they can't finish and scoring goals is too hard than it should be.

good win though, lets get a winning streak going, hopefully they can get into Buffalo

conversely, how many teams have been left shaking their heads by Lundqvist over the last 9+ years, wondering how they could have lost, or why the game was so close?
its one of the beautiful things of Hockey, you can do everything 100% right, and the goalie can still stop you.

I thought for sure Kreider was going to get a penalty for Coburn's head shot on Mason

Could you imagine if that was Kreider and not Glass that skated past him. It would have been 5, 10 and a game lol

Trying to look at this start from a positive perspective, I think the Rangers have managed to hand in thick of things, despite some pretty significant man games lost early in the year. It drives me crazy how they have had a hard time maintaining third period leads and losing in shootouts, but at the same time, they have managed to pick up points in losses, which was something that they weren't doing early last year. Have they had some real stinkers? Of course. But, at the same time, they've managed to fight there way through some early season adversity, and they are getting close to whole (although still missing a huge piece).

The next ten games will be tough, as after Buffalo, they have Montreal, Tampa twice, the Flyers twice, Detroit, Pitt, Vancouver and Edmonton. It would be nice to see them take care of business against Buffalo, and maybe go 6-3 (or something like that) in those next nine games, which will not be easy. If they are going to get on a roll, they are going to have to beat some really good clubs to do so. Here's to hoping.

My biggest issue was how they lost some of the games. Oilers & Tampa were atrocious. I get more upset at the way they lost those games than the actual loss. Hopefully the effort will be there consistently now cause like you mentioned they have some tough games coming up.
