Thanks! You're doing a great job btw. Tough one last night, I'm sure each ban relieves a little aggravation.

So because you are a referee you can insult people. But the other way around is completely unacceptable.

These Leafs are a discredit to the history that is The Toronto Maple Leafs. They obviously do not listen to coaching for whatever reason, perhaps a lack of respect or a total dislike for their coach. They can play so loose that you swear the rink rats could beat them. This from a bunch of millionaires is totally unacceptable. The only reason that these players are as rich as they are is because of their ability to play hockey, yet in Toronto they throw their hat at the idea of competing for the people that really pay the dollars(every Leaf fan). They have totally disrespected us. To clean it up there has to be a moving of some of the core group, to me it is that simple.

This team is becoming the laughing stock of the league again! Major trades need to happen soon to acquire a defenceman that knows how to defend, Polak has been good but he's just about the only leaf on the blue line that isnt a complete defensive liability. Their forwards are all as good as dispensable with exceptions to maybe Bozak (excellent contract for the production you get out of him) and JVR ( similar reason but also a player like this is very rare to come by). Kessel needs to go. Sure he is a superstar, theres no ignoring that. But when your superstar isnt the type of guy who is going to win you series in the playoffs, has no leadership qualities, and is probably the softest player in the league then i think steps need to be taken. Kessel year after year racks in the goals and may be the most underrated play maker in the league but he isnt a player at the end of the day that can make enough of a difference to be getting paid that much money. If you look at other teams superstar scorers (Stamkos, Tavares, Crosby, Ovechkin) they all play with an edge and are all willing to go to the corners and battle. Whens the last time you saw kessel on a highlight reel for anything other then offence? Sure you could argue that he's here to score but all those previously mentioned names have some defensive upside (exception Ovechkin) Phaneuf is like the cancer that you cant get rid of. Most hated player in the league by other playes, voted most over rated by the players, and soo overpaid you become weak at the knees discussing his contract. Im not even going to begin to get into it about Phaneuf because that would just become a rant that could get carried away. Kadri is far to one dimensional and predictable that his skill becomes ineffective. lupul is comparabke to someone like Kovalev. When he wants to play he can be a difference maker but thats only when he wants to, he can go through multiple games and you at times wont even know he's playing and assume he's where hes spent a ton of his NHL career: on the IR. Leaf fans are being robbed blind by a franchise that either
A) Does not care about winning, and only about the money being made by the army of leaf fans that always fill up the ACC or buildings on the road
or
B) Have too many people in head office that do not understand the game of hockey and what it takes to win

Ultimately I think MLSE need to sell the team. Private ownership ALWAYS cares about winning games and in most cases would be much more likely to make harsh decisions to benefit the team. Not saying MLSE doesnt care but having just one owner is something could see being beneficial.

On the bright side talking to one of my OHL scouts who works for the mississauga steelheads (Drafted Nylander) he said nylander was the most skilled player at the NHL draft by quite a bit, however his attitude and size is what made him slip down into the position he was picked at. Lets just hope this skill develops at a rapid rate because this is a team that needs anything that can take right now to help them.
