I really don't think Myers is going to net you the "right return". His real value (i.e. what teams are willing to give up for him) seems to be lower than what Murray is, and should be, asking for him.

This is the part people are missing. Even the authorities (except Cuomo, because he never screws up...ever) said we could have done this a lot better.

The point that folks should have stayed off the Thruway to begin with was well made. However, the fact of the matter is that there are going to be people on the Thruway both right before and during the storm, either by imprudence or necessity. It's the Thurway Authority's job to get them out in an orderly and timely manner. It's what we pay taxes for.

There was also an admitted decision to "wait out" the storm before getting the plows out, which also turned out to be a bad one. The fact of the matter is that both the public and the government screwed up here.

I think in a lot of cases you have local idiots(how do you not know to avoid the thruway?) but out of towners and passer byes that thought they were just heading through Buffalo and had no idea what they were in for. The band Interpol was on their way from Columbus to Toronto then Montreal for shows and got stuck in Blasdell for days. Kent state football was on their way in for wednesday. Everyone made it, Football team, officials, tv crew, except the idiot driver for the Kent St. equipment thought he would be cute and make his own route. Never made it out of Lackawanna(I think). The game never got played and never will.

For the most part, it left South Buffalo alone, but it still dumped a decent amount more on Hamburg and south. The southern tier is the direction it headed. Not sure how much they ended up getting from it.

I think the best the sabres could hope for is a package

say myers and staff for eberle

with all the bodies on the farm, and future picks, murray needs to make some more trades to upgrade the roster (kings trade last season)

The only way I move myers is for a lottery first rd pick or a package with another player for a legit first line winger (young)

It's essentially over. The northtowns got squat. I ended up with maybe a foot on the Cheektowaga/Buffalo border.

I made a decent comeback in HBSL last night. I was down like 6 points before the night, and before the later games started it was looking bleak as I fell to about 30 points down.

Then it took an upswing: 221-199 for the good guys now.

3-3, 2 bullpoop losses at the end on sundays and pairo kicked my ass one week
