I don't really think either guy should be the starter. They should split almost 50/50. Sure go with the hot hand when it presents itself but when the competition between the two is so close, why not just let them play their scheduled starts so that they know the team has confidence in them instead of worrying about not getting to play again if they lose this next start?

Yeah, it should be a 1A/1B tandem, and I think for the most part it is like that. Fasth had a streak and he was played for a few games until he came down to crap levels. Same with Scrivens.

Without actually looking this info up, I believe his d in TO was similar to what he has to deal with now but he was also designated as the backup in TO so the pressure wasn't on as much as it is now. Sample size in LA compared to the Oil last year might have had an effect on his numbers as well. Again, I am just going from memory and not actual stats cuz those things don't really count....right?
