I saw 9-2 was the final. That's an ass kicking. Don't see many games like this at the NHL level.

A home game nonetheless too.

I was watching and texting all my leafs fan Friends all during the 3rd period....a buddy at the game was smart and left after the 2nd when it was still only 4-0.

There is plenty to go around. They can pick at Berube's carcass too.

Just a quick question my friend asked me.

If Toronto is playing bad and the vultures are out for Dion to be moved,

Would you trade Coburn, Vinny and Read for Dion and say a 3rd rounder.

Would you make that move?

- J35Bacher

No way i'd ever do that. I'm not a big Phaneuf fan and just hate the contract he's on. I'd certainly trade for Gardiner but not at the cost of Read. he's having a bad season so far, but I really don't want to give up on him after he's been so good for last few seasons.

My predictions for tonight:

1. It gets dark

2. It's cold outside

3. The Flyers and Rangers play a hockey game

4. Someone wins said hockey game

5. BiggE gets very drunk

BTW, #5 is my stone cold lock of the week!

I'm actually shocked he was still employed when the sun came up this morning.

I would not trade Read.
- MJL

First time in the history of HB that I actually agree with Mr. Sunshine. I like Read despite the slump he's in and I DO NOT want Dion here whatsoever!

Dion is a decent # 2 guy ...who unlike Coburn can put up points. I like Read but to make that deal work I include him....the real Clincher was Vinny. If they could ever get out from under that contract, which I don't think they could, then they have to look at all possible scenario's....I like this one.

Noah Hanifin.... Buffalo has the 1st or 2nd pick all sewn up but 2nd worst is available if Edmonton gets its act in gear. The Flyers luck they would finish 3rd worst overall and the 4th worst team would win the lottery.

Well surely one of those 10 you would rather have wouldn't be Bellichick. I mean he brought an undefeated team with a first ballot HOF QB to the SB and lost to Coughlin, then a few years later lost again.

Who is more likely to win another Super Bowl, Belichick or Coughlin?

I think Phaneuf is a good player and would be the best Dman on the Flyers. I just don't think he'll age well. He's not great with the puck on his stick and his mobility is already deteriorating. I wouldn't want any part of the second half of that deal.

Who is more likely to win a Cup? Laviolette or Berube? Has to be Berube since Laviolette was fired and replaced by Barboobey.

Neither does asking who has a better chance to win another Super Bowl a coach currently coaching a team to an 8-2 record, or a 68 year old who is coaching out the string and won't get another NFL job.

If you had one season and had the opportunity to hire any coach, would you take Coughlin or Belichick?

I'd probably lean towards Richie Kotite.

He'll win another one the same spring Holmgren will be enshrined on the Flyers Wall of Fame for his GM work
- Just5

Prediction: They'll do one Flyers Hall of Fame ceremony for the two guys who wore #17 at the same time: Paul Holmgren (lifetime achievement thing) and Rod Brind'Amour.

Apparently Giroux's equipment bag was dropped off at MSG (per Panotch) so now there is speculation that he will be playing.
