Love Coughlin. I'm afraid at the end of the year he's a goner. I really could see Coughlin concluding his coaching career at West Point. Would be perfect for him.

Holy crap Sutter is only 56. Geez....

- PLindbergh31

i'm amazed he's hung in there this long, but the giants management and coaching, unlike its players, are not turnover machines.

surprised about sutter. thought he was at least 60.

Eagles secondary still will not make a play.
Team Negative will complain.
It will be cold later.

with Ryan McDonagh and Henrik Lundquist not playing tonight, that is a huge loss for the Rangers.

It's great to see Scott Laughton will play tonight, although I'm hoping he only starts the game on the fourth line. Give him second unit PP time. I like Rinaldo but putting Rinaldo on the third line is already a mistake. I know they like Bellemare in the middle but I feel it's far more important to get Laughton playing a lot and at center with decently skilled wingers.

Does it surprise anyone that a guy like Nolan, a perpetual underdog, would be buddies with another perpetual underdog like Irbe?

Wow! Is that one of those circus mirrors?
- PLindbergh31

I think it's time to consider re-branding man. When was the last time anybody saw a circus, or even a clown that wasn't in a horror movie? It's so irrelevant we might have to start calling you Jody Shelley.

Boudreau's 59... hard to believe that one.

Hitch is the only current HC in the 60's.

The guy has won two super bowls. How many active coaches have that on their resume?? Answer.... One. Bill Bellichick. The guy Coughlin beat twice.

Boudreau reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock. Sutter looks like he's about 70.

I don't think Keenan will get another NHL gig.

Coburn had a sore foot that seemed like it would be OK after two weeks, but it turned into four weeks. Not exactly the end of the world.

I won't take the Super Bowls away from Coughlin, but I can name at least 10 coaches I'd rather have. He's been to the playoffs once in the last 6 years. I think he's only won the division once since he took over 10 years ago. I would argue he's more lucky than great.

Just a quick question my friend asked me.

If Toronto is playing bad and the vultures are out for Dion to be moved,

Would you trade Coburn, Vinny and Read for Dion and say a 3rd rounder.

Would you make that move?

I would not trade Read.

Leafs fans are the worst...and NHL radio on XM might as well be renamed Leafs radio, because that is what they discuss the majority of the time
- aantny88

This may be true with some shows, but not true about Boomer Gordon and his shows. He is very balanced in his coverage of American and Canadian teams.

Well surely one of those 10 you would rather have wouldn't be Bellichick. I mean he brought an undefeated team with a first ballot HOF QB to the SB and lost to Coughlin, then a few years later lost again.

I'd like to see if Scotty Bowman could put 4 productive lines together with the peices that the Flyers have. Even when healthy.
- MJL
They need a couple of better pieces in the top 9, I agree with that.

Laviolette has Nashville at the top of the League. Not surprised by this. He's riding Weber and Rinne.
- PLindbergh31

I think the Leafs were losing 8-0 in this one. That's really hard to do.

I saw 9-2 was the final. That's an ass kicking. Don't see many games like this at the NHL level.
