i have no problem with 93 tonight, except for being too unselfish on those plays.

With what's going on out on the ice tonight, there isn't a coach in the world who could change anything from behind the bench in this game. Zero heart and compete being shown out there. Absolutely zero emotion.

I agree, guys like Read and Coots have been disappointing. G and Jake can't be the main guys every night.

The root of it remains the piss poor execution. A bad pass leads to a turnover, leads to running around your zone, wasting energy. Then when you finally get the puck it's dumped in for a change and the cycle repeats.

It's tiring and frustrating and leads to teams getting outplayed.

Agreed. And since you can't fire all the players, there is only one alternative. We all know this isn't a good team, but there really is no excuse for not being able to execute hockey 101, and having numerous games where they go through the motions. I think most of us agree that Berube isn't the answer.

Either way, when 90% of your lineup decides to mail it in, well, thats usually a coach killer

Its not all on Berube, but he's doing nada to help the situation either

My biggest issue with Berube has been, and is, I don't think he's putting guys in the best possible position.

But the execution is so horrible, it's hard to blame the coach. They're not failing to make high risk plays or plays that require amazing skill level. They're missing 10 foot outlets. They're making basic positioning mistakes. Little, fundamental things that lead to great opportunities for opposing teams.

If a coach has to cover basics at the NHL level, it's not the coach's fault

The Rangers are a pretty bad offensive team, and it's a shooting gallery on Mason. Being hung out to dry all night. Feel bad for him.

they are not skating. that's problem #1. execution is hard to do when you're not skating.

But right there...Laughton gets puck behind net, skates it up, gets it to the winger in motion, he fumbles it away.
