I knew grabovski was good but Kulemin has really surprised me. Guys like him are what win playoff games. Very very impressed with his game. - Isles_since_6
Kulemin and Nielsen are two guys that can absolutely steal playoff game. Defense wins championships, and these guys play solid d and turn it into offense and breakaways. I can't lie, Clutterbuck has been great as of late. Had a slow start, but he's been awesome also. |

I really do think the only thing this team really needs is a #1 winger for JT. But it's honestly not a desperate need, more of a luxury need. It would of been perfect to have Vrbata. I've had a man crush on him for years. I was just watching the nucks/oilers highlights. That guy has a wicked shot. He'd be perfect on the top line. Conacher for Vrbata? |

Keeping that pick is looking more and more like the right move.
"Snow is an idiot. Doesn't he know a 20-25 pick in the 2015 draft is the same as the top 5 in 2014."
Facking hockeybuzz - Cptmjl
Yeah, that is a dumb statement- we had a top five in 2014, and used it.....so we gambled the next one, when we already clearly have a good team. GMs do it all the time. The reasoning you speak of here isn't really all that great, needless to say....and besides, like I always say, I'll tell you how good the 2014 and 2015 drafts were in 2021. In 1999, six "great" quarterbacks were drafted with the top ten or eleven picks of the NFL draft. Only one of them even turned out to be decent, never mind "great". It's like the Motor Trend car of the year- I'll tell you which one that is when I still see it on the road 20 years from now.... |

Agreed, 100%. Those guys are also leading by example, which is a lot of what is making the struggles of some of the others obvious. Defense requires hard work, which is something I think JT is focusing on right now, and which is why he's not potting goals....although I'll also say I've seen him literally robbed point blank on at least three occasions so far this year.....so there's that, too. Besides, a guy with Tavares' talent can pile up assists in his sleep, so it's not like his numbers are really suffering. They've always made the defensive mistakes- it's just that it used to be that EVERYONE made them, so it wasn't as glaring. In his defense, I've also seen him ride a few of the opposing forwards down the hatch and into the boards this year, which is something I'd NEVER seen him do before. As long as this team (Tavares included) commits errors of commission instead of omission, I'll live with the learning curve....but defense is the ONLY way....the laziness can no longer be tolerated (and that's all it is....offense requires natural born talent....defense requires bringing the lunch pail and getting down to business). |

Adam McQuaid is out 6-8 weeks with a broken thumb.
seems like the bruins cant catch a break... We need 2 capitalize on better/PO worthy teams...... - Ur Not Me
Bruins will still find a way to make playoffs. But maybe we can steal a few more points from them in reg season. Cant be losing to teams below us in the standings. Thats the worst sin. |

I don't see what makes it a "big statement"? It's kind of a common them among teams that want to hold a playoff position. Now if he said WE WILL beat teams below us in the standings that'd be a bold statement. |

Just saw that. Milburys face was priceless and when he said "oh please" I just about pissed myself. I keep rewinding it. New respect for mckenzie - Cptmjl
I had just tuned in when they were discusssing.
Pure gold. Surprised Roenick never jabbed MM about the Isles.
Have to realize, MM was a big detriment to a lot of players careers due to his moves as GM. You can argue Berard would still have sight in both eyes, Steve Moore never attacked by Bertuzzi, RDP career might have been a healthier & more successful one, Redden may not have become addicted to substances and on the fringe, Heatley may not have gone to Atlanta and killed his teammate.
It's a significant ripple effect he's had on the NHL. |

Well, its all connected. You only move up as you win more than lose. Holding your ground requires constant vigil. Kind of a paradox but a good one to be in. |

So, now in your division, you can only lose to the Pens..
And, in the conference, you can only lose to the Habs, Lightning, or Pens.. Yup sure. |

Best players so far this season under 25......
Interesting Brock is ranked higher than JT???
Now lets clarify I am not bashing JT , actually in disbelief....love Brock but he is no Tavares, yet anyway!!!! - Nolanders
Sheesh, it feels like Tavares has been around for a decade, yet he's only 24... You jerks!! |

That's actually two decades plus four years! He'll be in Toronto with Stamkos in three years. We are already starting to write him off. |

Smart ass. I meant it just seems like he's been in the NHL for so damn long already that it's hard to grasp his age being that young. |

Well, its a Captain Obvious statement. IF you want to maintain a playoff spot, you can only control the games you play. Its no guarantee but if you dont lose to the teams below you its less likely they will push you out of a spot. Last year, with all the blown leads in the 3rd that went to OT that they managed to win, they gave away points to a lot of teams in the conference. |

Anybody read this article about Jack Johnson of the Blue Jackets? Parents are a bunch of scumbags :no
http://bluejacketsxtra.di...er&utm_source=twitterfeed - Vukota
It is foolish of him to trust anybody blindly with his career earnings ($15M). However what his parents did to him is franked up and down right criminal. |

In the world of us non millionaire athletes, I could tell you a story of how someone's daughter mortgaged her retired parents paid off house without them knowing about it, causing them to have to unretire. There's a lot more fraud and several additional victims in this story too. Not my family, thankfully. |
