oh good. G's out, like we all knew he would be. "fine", "not fine".

hextall: "here's what happened. we lied at first. now we can't. so there's that."

days will definitely turn into at least a week, if not more.

and i can't wait to see umberger on a unit with schenn and voaracek.

RJ needs to sit out, I would rather see Cousins get a shot and that is desperate as it comes

it's embarrassing.

It's just stupid. There's no reason to not say, Giroux wasn't feeling right after practice, so we had the medical staff take a look at him. This morning he woke up and felt a bit worse.

That's why I say coverup & use terms like Nixonian. They lied about mundane crap all the time, when it served no purpose and it eventually helped them to their downfall.

Granted, telling a white lie about a player injury isn't as insidious as covering up terror bombing in Cambodia & Laos, or extensive political sabotage, but the mindset is the same-and the simple fact that it is such a small issue makes it even more stupid.

It's a good thing they picked up points early in the month.

Rangers, Wild, Blue Jackets, Islanders, Red Wings, Rangers and Rangers again to close out November. On the road for four against the Sharks, Ducks, Kings and Blue Jackets to start Dec.

I thought my point was rather obvious. Maybe this is something that turns his season around to the point that he can contribute more. Sitting him and bringing up a player like Cousins doesn't do anything for the situation. It's better for everyone involved for Umberger to play better.

I don't think it was a lie. I think Hextall genuinely thought that Giroux was fine last night.

yep. it's (frank)ing stupid. nobody in their right mind should believe anything they say about an injury, or lack thereof.

We are a lot closer to a bottom feeder than most realize

A call to arms is soon awaiting. Tank nation is alive and well. No draft dodging going on here

That's the troubling aspect of it. What can be gained by not coming out last night and disclosing that it was a LBI & saying, "We don't expect it to be anything significant at this time"? Instead, the team drops a twitter bomb and when pressed, they say "He's fine" and 12 hours later he's likely out a few days.

If Giroux is out for an extended period, the Flyers should plan on being off starting in April.

Apparently Berube is going to try and use him to stop the scoring streaks of Schenn and Voracek as top line LW...because of his size.

of course. the rangers have not been very good this season. i look forward to tomorrow night's game being the springboard to their recovery. look for a goose egg from captain mattress and a couple of goals from the troll and san lewey a piece, and probably another key flyers injury.

With Giroux out, and Raffl out, whatever line combos he puts together, there is going to be issues in the lineup. And comments and criticism from the peanut gallery. All the NHL coaches sitting at home, know better. I'm sure Berube himself is thrilled with Umberger as his top line LW, and with Giroux in the press box.

We are still early. But we are getting closer to declaring war. Jan 1st will be the cutoff and if we are still 11-12th. I will take my post. We are led by General OB18 who is obviously skilled in the draft process and has a thorough understanding of the prospect pool. He will guide us but we need leaders on the frontline here who have experience battling the orange brigade

Agreed. We will scour the land of Draft Dodgers, AKA Canada, for stout defensemen and lightning quick wingers. We will huddle around our laptops and watch hockeystreams to gaze with wide wonder upon our future ex-Flyers.

I'm just hoping we don't see pressure from above to win now.
