It's easy to criticize, but much harder to propose and implement a better solution.

My interpretation of what he posted is a bit different. We all knew that Reinhart was too good for Jr, but he wasn't really quite ready to be here either. It was a catch 22. So the way I look at it, is that he's just simply saying he's not surprised that Reinhart is dominating a league he's outgrown, not criticizing Murray for making the move. I could be completely off base though.

It's good to see Reinhart dominate a league he's too good for.

My solution has always been to let him take his lumps here, especially in a throw away season like this, like they let Zadorov essentially strong arm them into doing.

My grammar, punctuation, and overall grasp of the English language is way too good for that to be the case.

Except given the difference in their physical makeups, you are precisely right in thinking that Reinhart would be taking lumps (and significant risk of even greater injury) and I agree with current management that this proposed solution is not "better" for our first overall pick.

And if he tears an ACL in Juniors, then what? This risk of injury thing is grossly overstated and should be a non-factor. Besides, he got right back up from every hit he took during his stint here. He seems to be built a lot more solid than people give him credit for. Sure, he can stand to fill out some more, but I think that would best occur here. I'm not going to dwell on it much more because it's done and overwith, what's happening with him in the WHL should come as a surprise to nobody. He's a man among boys over there.

I'm not even sure that is the issue. I don't think he benefits playing with scrubs.

Like him or hate him, Nolan is coaching for his job. He didn't feel Reinhart could help them win games, and to be honest Reinhart didn't help his case.

I wish he was here but unfortunately this happens with players every season

I don't disagree with any of that, actually. It is unfortunate.

It's one of the cons of going through this. I think Reinhart could have improved and been more than adequate by years end, but in the meantime he benefits nothing from McCormick, Kaleta or the press box.

Murray really wants to make sure they do this right with the young guys.

When Reinhardt can prove he has a big boy mentality of going to the dirty areas and pounding his own goals in, he will then have more goals then assits...and that will tell me he has worked on akey area of his development. Until then, he can stay there and work on that aspect.
Love his creativity and setup skills, doesn't need to work on that...become a vaunted goal scorer as well to have balance to his game...which will do wonders for his NHL game. Objective should be 2 goals per game.
All is not lost....show TM he has learned that aspect.

Very good analysis . It is very selfish of fans thinking he must stay here . I think management is doing what is best for his overall development.

Nah, just cuz the record is only at 1.5 goals oer game, Reinhart must beat that to prove he's a goal scorer

If he does not get at least 2 a game , he is a bust ! Should have taken Bennett .

Great return to MSG for former NYR captain Ryan Callahan. His goal puts Lightning up 2-0

So hypothetical question here....Let's say we end up drafting McDavid. What happen's with Grigorenko? Do you think he'd be converted to a winger?

Het Stash, respectfully...No need to be condescending, especially from a Ref who cautions others on same.

3 goals in 4 games is hardly 1.5 per, but what do facts have to do with things.

The point is, Follow this...
the knock on his NHL game as a young player is that he is on the perimeter too much.
He was sent down to develop.
2nd pick overall should be able to dominate in his 4th year of Juniors
Dominate by scoring in the dirty areas...it will only benefit him when he comes back up.
