Under normal circumstances, getting a team to part with a talent like Voynov would be exceedingly difficult/costly. Maybe the present situation creates unique leverage to acquire a guy that is not only cost-controlled, fills a need for a top-pair right-shooting dman, but is also somebody Hexy os familiar with.

Without knowing the exact facts of the case, I don't think it's safe to say that he's not going to jail.
And if he's going to eventually be back, why would LA traded him anyway? There's other ways' to work around the cap.
