My favorite thing about Josh Ho-Sang is that this was the Ranger's pick they forfitted in the Callahan trade. If he ends up being a solid NHL player it will just add to their anger.

I see Martin taking a seat but See Lee playing 4th line with CC and CC.. not Grabner.

Looks like cappy finally clued in that of you don't have a big shot on the pp then you end up passing it around the outside until you lose possession. About time Boychuk goes back on it.

And yet again an example of how many times have we posted on here 'why isn't he on the PP', 'he should be on the PP'. This isn't road paving Cappy! Put your best point shot on the power play. Why not just sit JT as well, let him rest instead of just passing drills in the offensive zone.

Right on. No threat of a cannon from the point means the PK can spread out more because they don't have to worry bout a guy packing bombs right at the net. They know it's just going to be a perimeter game and can play it as such, they don't have to tighten up to defend against the point shot.

I really like vis. Hes a great defenseman but his shot isnt exactly a threat from the point. What kind of thought process capuano used to completely remove boychuck from the pp then recently have him on the 2nd pp unit after he QB'd as well as he did and put up pp points like he did ill never understand.

I'd be fine with Lubo and Boychuk on the point. Lubo is a far better puck distributor than Boychuk, Lubo can really run a PP. Boychuk, however, has the necessary element of a howitzer from the blueline. I'd almost like to see them park JB55 at the top of the left circle and just feed him one tee's. If nothing else the threat of his shot will keep the defense honest and create space.

Dont get me wrong I like lubo too and understand his strong points but having a hard shot from thepoint is essential especially with a big goalie like bishop. Create some rebounds and score on the guy low.

it's frustrating that after what, 6 games, boychuk had already set his career high in pp points, the pp was clicking in the top two of the league, and visnovsky comes back and immediately takes over that spot, removing the biggest shot we've had on the team in years. Then the pp struggles for 10 games and cappy finally clues in, hey, maybe we can get more offense out of this by putting a big shot at the point to open up the pass down low while giving us a legit threat they have to respect. Hmm. Maybe next time it's working don't switch it up and refuse to go back to it for 10 games.

notice montreal is only a +8? That's pretty scary for a team that's only lost 3 times in regulation. That means they're either getting blown out when they lose, or generally they barely beat anyone. I'd have to look at their schedule and results, but I do remember they had to beat buffalo 2-1 in a shootout.

That's a team that reminds me of the minnesota wild's great start a few years ago that bottomed out into missing the playoffs.

His wanting to fix something thats not broke and reluctance to fix something that is broke has cost us points at every juncture of his tenure here like he doesnt understand how precious each one is. Loyalties to players (im assuming) should never supercede the overall success of the team. Boychuck and leddy were a force on the pp for us when we came out the gate. He changes it. PP fizzles. How the hell could he not connect the dots? How can someone be that dumb? Theres no other way to put it.

Speaking of Minny...one thing that caught my eye was that they are 5th in their division and a +11 GD. Winnipeg is one point ahead in 4th and have a -5 GD.

Should be worse had it not been for the 6-2 victory in the last game they played...

Need to get traffic in front of nabby and get to some rebounds. We also need shutout Halak tonight, not Florida Halak.

This would be a tough game even with me in net for TB. They're just hurting teams right now. If the Isles can hang with them tonight, that'd be a great sign.

They beat us with our backup in on a back to back and now the roles are reversed and I'm expecting the Islanders to return the favor

Get out of my head! Exact same thought. Get Boychuk back there, let him bomb away some low shots off the pads, and the wingers in off the sides (since they're there already) for rebounds. If teams want to play high point to take away his shot, that leaves the low sides & and slot open. Hell, let JB55 fire off some head hunters too. I think we all can agree that when they win, and they play well, we lay off Cappy a bit. Not that we're enjoying seeing that mug behind the bench, but we stomach him a little bit more. We also can see the difference in a players loss & a coaching loss, imo.
