I'm going to the game tomorrow night in Rochester. They're playing the Chicago Wolves.

BTW, they have 3 games in 3 nights 7 times this year from what I can tell.

The NHL actually used to do that. I think it was the 1995 CBA that put an end to it.

This is true, if the Bills have a good QB they win the last 2 games. Good coaches who are respected have control over their drafting situations, lame coaches do not. Marone allowed himself to be in a situation where in his second season, his starting QB was picked up off the couch at labor day and he has no first round pick next year. Now EJ hasn't played and we have no idea if he would have improved. Next season is throw away season #16 in a row. If he's lucky he'll land a QB in 2016 who most likely will suck his first year anyways, then Marrone gets canned. There it is, 4 years of pissing into the wind and several millions made by Doug. Not a bad life I guess.

I don't think that we would've gotten an elite QB with our 1st round pick this year anyways. I'm glad we have Sammy Watkins, I don't think it was a terrible move

When it happened, I summed it up as "love the player, hate the trade". Maybe I don't hate the trade now, but I don't love it.

Brought in to provide toughness and ferocity on the forecheck, Aliu didn't really fill that role. While he scored three goals in the first three games, he did not add enough physicality to the offensive attack, plus his production had waned.

He departs after producing 3 goals, 1 assist and 51 penalty minutes in 10 games. A whopping 40 of those PIMs were via four 10-minute misconducts.

"Something we lacked is some big, heavy players," Amerks coach Chadd Cassidy said. "We were looking for toughness but for the most part I don't think that was a role he wanted to play. If it's not in their nature, they're not going to do it consistently."

Aliu, 25, has been through this before. He started the 2013-14 season on a tryout contract with the Hamilton Bulldogs and was released after playing his 14th game on Nov. 13.

Irwin, 27, certainly earned the promotion back to the Amerks. He leads the ECHL in scoring with 14 points on 6 goals and 8 assists in 10 games.

While I don't hate Dunleavy, I've really missed RJ. It'll be nice to have him back in, even if it is limited. Too bad I won't catch any of that game since I'll be in Rochester for the Amerks game.

Dump the half the practice team and put 5 QB's on there. Maybe one will develop.

if we get anyone close to getzlaf level in eichel i would be ecstatic. Hes definitely one of my top 5 favorite players and its amazing to watch the plays he creates on the ice.
