What would Edmonton fans think of Rielly for RNH?

I ask because I don't think Edmonton should be trading youth for veterans but in Morgan Rielly you are changing your mix of young players.

The general consensus from a couple people on the Leafs thread says no, but it is mostly from a perspective of Rielly being our ONLY young player that looks like he'll be a star in this league. We may get a #1 center (one day) in RNH, but we open up a hole on D.

I dunno, it is an interesting idea.

Not much interest from me. Rielly looks great, but we haven't had a centre like RNH in a long time and from a team standpoint, his effort on this past road swing kept our season off death's door.

I think you could put us in the exact opposite category: We may get a #1D one day in Rielly but we open up a hole at Centre.

Makes us worse... much worse. Rielly has a promising future but he's another left handed inexperienced defender along the likes of Klefbom, nurse, Marincin, etc. Is Rielly's ceiling higher than those guys? Maybe, maybe not. RNH is turning his game on and he has looked like an NHL #1 guy this year.
