We have Scrivens, Klefbom and a first. I think... I hope MacT can get something for that.

Edit: well I mean Scrivens can't get us much... (frank) HE CANT EVEN GET ME 6 (frank)ING BUCKS.

Don't say the only option we have? Okay, a C we "acquire"? Or would you rather I say Lander?
- MaximumBone

The truth is that we have no idea who is actually available and what it would cost so right now he can only be replaced by a player in the system. He is by far the beat option we have, we have much bigger areas to fix.

Maybe next time the "savior of the Oilers and best D-man in the league" according to some, should actually block that shot, or get out of the way next time, rather than letting it go 5 hole on him. Can't put this one all on goaltending. How long do the goalies have to bail out the teams poor play for?
- ruttager17

I know I was ignoring you, but he didn't really bail us out. Gave up two weak ones, one of which costed us. Honestly the last 30 mins of the game, Oil dominated, sure Scrivens had to make some saves, but they were quite easy.

He had to have that OT goal, when a guy shoots it right at you, you are expected to save it.

Fasth for whatever

Sign Byzgalov and Brodeur.

Hope for the best.

That is in no way an upgrade. Though it will cost more.

Is this in reference to Petry?
- MaximumBone

Petry plays a decent game but his (frank) ups typically cost us a game- not necessarily all on him for the final goal tonight- but I agree either drop to the ice and block or get the (frank) out of the way... his (frank) ups are consistent per game and they lead to goals... Its damn frustrating-

There is no way in hell MacT should move this years first or Klefbom for a stop gap centre
- Horseguts

Dude, at this rate, we may be seeing the next Gretzky..

And it doesn't have to be a stopgap.

Right at you when it isn't through your D-man? Sure. They lost in OT so that means any one of the 4 he gave up cost the team. The team gives up 17 first period shots, you can't pin everything on the goaltender. Use your head for just once.

WTF is junior going to do for his NHL game at this point???
- ruttager17

Well, if he was going to junior (which he isn't), it'd do more than playing less than 10 minutes in a home game where the team needed offense It would help him gain more confidence and refine his skills on both offense and defense even further.

On from that, however, he very clearly stated going into camp that it was either the Oilers or a European men's League.

His last few games he has been there. What's the point in keeping him if he scores every a goal every eight games, but in between those, he isn't there.

My god is that kid stupid. It's like he watched the game tonight, I know cause he provided the play by play on HB, but it's like he didn't watch it at all.

Dude, all part of the master plan. He takes up my offer, I bleed him for a couple months on intrest and late fees, sell the debt to you, you bleed him for MORE intrest and fees, then when he defaults you feed him to your snakes etc. Win-win.

Scored a goal tonight and people are way too quick to dismiss a 19 year old guy after only 16 games in the pros.

And now that he has played over 9 games, what team in their right mind would send their player over seas, mid season to develop??? What is wrong with his confidence, and are his skills guaranteed to develop and him gain more confidence playing against kid's in junior???

I know he has flaws, I was more wondering who called him the best Dman in league or if it was just the typical "Rutts exaggeration".

He scored tonight when the team needed offence and why would the Oilers want him in a Euro league where he would learn the game on a different ice surface and where they would have little to no input on his development there?

That's a win-win for everyone on HB. Especially for me! Because I am OBVIOUSLY as stupid as rutts says I am

THANK YOU. Logic and critical thinking and reasoning, are so refreshing to hear from someone on these threads, even if it is as rare as JB finding a (frank)ing job.
